I used two of these to life my kayak into the garage rafters. One in the bow, and one in the stern. They work really well. I was a little nervous, since I park my car directly under the kayak - so I rigged a safety rope (to catch the kayak ends should the ratchet system fail) and it has been 2.5 years, so far the rope wrangles have been rock solid. I recently purchased two more for our other kayak, and my father did the same for his canoe (same system - garage rafters). I still use a safety rope on each end, but I am overly obsessed with safety at baseline! I would highly recommend.

Good quality product. I do find it a little hard to pull rope through if I am not depressing the spring loaded catch. I thought it might ratchet/free spool through. I was mistaken. Can be very versatile. I bought 2 for my parents to cinch down there motor home awning. Nicer than using flat straps.

These tie downs are so much easier to use than the bulky straps.... keep them in the pickup truck for quick access and they come in handy securing so many items, big or small!

I have 4 different kinds of rope ratchet systems and this is my favourite one.
