Intriguing
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I was in the process of reading another of the author's books (The Miracle of You: Back to Consciousness), which is fairly metaphysical in nature, when he came out with this one. Since it was fiction, and by all indications had nothing to do with spirituality, I was curious to see what it was about. As noted in the title, I found it a very intriguing book. Told from the heroine's point a view (a young girl who has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer), it's easy reading and the storyline definitely held my attention. Sprinkled throughout the narrative are appearances of a mysterious, rather ethereal, figure that greatly resembles the late James Dean. The reader does not find out who he is or his role in the young girl's life until the very end of the story. This is also where I finally understood the author's purpose in writing this book.My only criticism is that I feel the book's description (on Amazon) is weak as it only touches on a minor point in the story. I would suggest the author take a second look and try to come up with something more in line with the book's overall plot.Addendum: I see the author has revised the description. IMO, it is now more in line with the book's content.
