Relatable, emotional and well written
Every time I read stories like this with army veteran suffering in their stuggles to live a normal life after being injured serving their country, it always brings tears to my eyes. This is a brilliant story , engaging, emotional and realistic. I enjoyed it

Okay read
An okay read about two lifelong friends and their changing relationship alongside a veteran with ptsd. Enough angst to be interesting.

Loved it!
Laura's contemporary tales just keep getting better and better, and I really need to stop forming opinions before reading them as she keeps blowing my expectations out of the water!I truly expected this to be more about the Fight Club aspect, and I wasn't disappointed to discover that is actually a very small aspect of the series. Instead I found characters that drew me in, I felt their struggles and I was firmly in their corner willing them to battle their demons and win.I enjoyed this one so much I dove straight into book 2 and read until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer.

A brilliant read & completely un-put-down-able!
Fighting for Everything was a brilliant read. That drew me in from the very first page. As the story was honest, raw, believable, emotional, heartfelt and completely un-put-down-able.And I loved every moment of it. As the characters were all great. Especially the group of wounded warriors who I can't wait to read more about. And on top of that I really enjoyed the romance between best friends Noah and Kristina. Even though it wasn't straight forward or easy. And I would definitely recommend Fighting for everything to others, and can't wait to read Billy's story when it's released August.

Not for me
Received copy via another author's newsletter. I didn't like this book. What little story there is didn't flow. Not plausible. So much of book was just heat. I skip read most of it. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Warrior Fight Club book 1
Until recently Noah was a serving Marine but after losing part of his sigh and hearing in an IED explosion he's now home and trying to find a way to move on with his life. The brain injury he received has left him with constant headaches and he's suffering with not just PTST but also survivors guilt after losing so many of his friends in the war. Basically Noah is in a very bad place, badly depressed and unsure if life is even worth living anymore. Kristina has been Noah's best friend since they were five years old and she hates seeing him so low, all she wants is to find a way to help her friend recover but things are made complicated by the sudden fierce attraction they are both feeling towards each other. Noah is very close to hitting rock bottom but can he pull himself back from the brink in time to build a future with the woman he loves.Laura Kaye always writes such incredibly intense relationships and this is one of my favourites. I always enjoy the friends to lovers trope and Noah and Kristina have such a fantastic connection, one that goes deep and is far beyond just sexual attraction (although they're definitely not lacking in that department either!). The author tackles a lot of difficult issues in this story but she does it brilliantly and she really brought Noah's character to life. We get to see so many sides to his character, theres the strong and sexy man that Kristina has known all her life but then there is the more vulnerable side to him who is suffering deeply and very close to suicidal. These topics are handled sensitively and I really appreciated the fact that Kristina wasn't able to magically cure Noah with sex, instead Noah had to find his own path to happiness and we get to see him really working hard towards his recovery. He finds a group of friends through Warrior Fight Club, an MMA fighting group made up of ex service members who are able to understand him in ways that Kristina can't because she doesn't have the same shared experience. Kristina was incredibly supportive but she knew that it was ultimately down to Noah to figure things out. I found it so easy to root for them as a couple and I loved the times they spent together just hanging out as well as in bed, they're actually pretty adorable together!I really enjoyed the introduction to other members of Warrior Fight Club too so I have very high hopes for this series. I loved that the group doesn't only have male members and there are female fighters too, ones who have also served their country and have their own recovery to make. Laura Kaye is definitely onto another winner with this series and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

An OK read
Once again we read about marines returning from war with Post Traumatic Disorder, hence readapting to civilian life. It's rather sad to see them trying to soldier on, regardless.Noah has been discharged due to the damage he encountered during his time as a marine. Despite his unpleasant flashbacks, he tries to act as normally as possible, but pretenting isn't always easy.Kristina is Noah's best friend. They have always been comfortable with each other, but the last thing that Noah wants is for her to see him so vulnerable.Noah is keeping a low profile at his parents' annual party. He is trying to act as normal as possible when Kristina happens to find him in a delicate situation. She tries to be supportive, but it's difficult for him to show how vulnerable he is. At the same time, it dawns on them that they are in love and experience some deep feelings. Noah tries to push Katrina away, but she is quite persistent. Will he find a way of accepting things for what they are and look to the future? This story brings out mix emotions. Frustration. Anger. Love. Passion and acceptance. I like how Noah helps himself by finding things that improves his state of mind and coming to terms with the after effects of war. Katrina is as supportive as she can be and does not give up easily. It's a long and slow process, but their long friendship prevails and the romance between them blossoms. It's a fair read.
