a trips down imagination road review
Dare to Resist is book 0.5 of The Wedding Dare series.Kady has always had a thing for her brother's best friend, Colton, and though he doesn't like to admit it because of the 6 year age gap, Colton has had a thing for Kady since she was in school. But things have been stopping him, mainly her brother Tyler and his worry that she won't like his desire for rougher sex. Having competed for a security contract (against each other) they get trapped in a hotel room together due to a leak and a creepy competitor. For both of them it is torture, wanting to touch, especially when they discover that they click in other ways as well.Link to GoodreadsLink to amazonI've read three books from the Wedding Dare series before and really wanted to read the other two, the first of which was Dare to Resist. THis book told the story of how Kady and Colton (the wedding couple) got together. For a short novella I thought that this book did a great job capturing how Kady and Colton's relationship would last, from the things they had in common, to their history together right up to the undeniable passion and chemistry between them. Though saying about the chemistry and passion, they only actually got physical between them in the later part of the book, up until that point the author built up their emotional relationship. It was definitely interesting to get the couple behind the sweet two getting married in the other books, particularly because Kady and Colton never actually got that much page time as the others were all off becoming couples themselves, and so it was good having Colton and Kady padded out more. Saying that, this is supposed to be the first book read! There was very little doubt that I'd enjoy this book, I've enjoyed all the other Wedding Dare books and in fact I've enjoyed all the Brazen books from Entangled that I've read too. Definitely fit the bill, and I'm looking forward to reading the only book I have left to read in the Wedding Dare series soon!

Dare To Resist ( A Wedding Dare novella) by Laura Kaye.
This series is linked loosely linked to the McCade Brothers series.... One of the brothers is mentioned in all the novels from both series, often plays a part, with his brothers just being mentioned. I love the way the stories are inter-woven and makes you feel as if you are amongst friends as you go from book to book. The novels are written by different authors, although Samanthe Beck does write all the McCade Brothers set. Although this series is called A Wedding Dare, each story is about one of the bridesmaid or grooms man, and totally different from the others, so the interest is kept. Its great how the authors have been able to accommodate each others work, so closely as to keep the flow going without any flaws, not that I could see anyway. I have loved this series. They are raunchy, humorous, really strong characters.

Great start to this series
Colton knows what he wants in the bedroom and is certain it's not for Kady. But Kady has a secret of her own - she's been secretly craving a taste of what she reads about. And who better to introduce her than Colton.Ooh this starter novella was a steamy little surprise! I've never read anything by Laura Kaye before and damn did she do good on my debut read of her. Colton and Kady couldn't seem more different - until they get together and man ... is it hot when they get together! Great sex, great chemistry, great read.

Usual Entangled quality
With the Entangled label you can usually guarantee a good standard of product, and this doesn't disappoint. Short, sweet, gets the job done of setting up the rest of this group of novels.

Brilliant
Cannot recommend this series enough. Well written, mature and very strong leads, thank goodness. Very sexy but with good storyline.
