A fun read
I'm loving the characters and story more each book and cannot wait to see what happens next. There are some mistakes here and there but they are just bumps in the road of a good story. Cheers!

Highly recommendable despite slight flaws
Again this is a highly entertaining piece of vampire romance. The vampire angle takes a bit of a back seat in this one and we have a less ludicrous, more believable plot than in the first book. This book mostly deals with the preparations for the upcoming nuptials of Jane's best friend Zeb and the family hijinks that ensues. And therein lies the problem with this book. While the dialogues are great (again), the humour is hilarious (again), the family dynamics get out of hand. Sure, I buy that in the South family brings a whole different set of clichés to the front but by the end of the book one just wishes for Jane (and others) to make a stand finally! The overbearing mother who sees Jane's turning as a shame to the family, the merrily widowed grandmother (she is working on husband no. 5 in this book) who simply steamrollers over Jane completely, the grabby sister who has Jane embroiled in a law suit for the ancestral home, it's just too much. Although it might be that I just read the book through way too fast and thus experienced all of this in a compressed plot. A bit less cliché would have been nice.Unfortunately the relationship with her sire Gabriel which started out delightfully confusing for her and the readers (is it love or obligation?) sort of gets stuck in a rut and the sexy bits feel sort of bloodless (no pun intended).Nevertheless this is contemporary vampire romance far above the average: the hilarious dialogues and the likeable, sassy heroine are all reasons to prefer Molly Harper to other such novels.
