The Great Stupa of Boudhnath ; The Tibetan Legend of the Great Stupa

One of the great little known wonders of the world is the great stupa at Boudhanath Kathmandu Nepal.It is mixed up with the history of of Padmasambhava Guru Rinpoche & involves an old lady who keeps hens.From the sale of her eggs she financed the building of this huge stupa, the dome of this stupa is 120 feet in diameter.When the old poulty woman died the building work was completed by her sons.The legend has it that this was the place that the Buddha Kasyapa who was the Buddha for the previous age lived.The age or yuga prior to this one was called Dvapara-yuga it is one of the holy places om earth from my viewpoint.
