Such an amazing series!
My heart is broken at this ending! So beautifully written. Such a wonderful world with characters you wish you could meet in real life. It's so hard to maintain interest in a series sometimes but Angelina manages to keep your interest piqued and craving what happens next.

Really good!
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed getting to see the friendship between Gordan and Gandrett, to how different he is from the other Fae. I enjoyed getting to see Gandrett work on her magic. I liked that she struggled in the desert, showing that she's not invincible. I loved in generally, the development of the story and the characters, and their relationships with one another.I only have two complaints - there's a scene where all hope seems lost. Escape seems impossible. Someone makes a gesture to sacrifice themself to save the others - but then suddenly one of the others has the upper hand. That in itself didn't make sense to me. And then if they did have the upper hand, why couldn't they all escape? Why would she agree to let the one stay and the others leave? Because she either allowed, or if one of them was truly strong enough to gain that upper hand, they should have all been able to leave. Maybe I just need to reread it, but that part felt a little forced just to make other events happen.I LOVE Taghi. Taghi I think is a hidden gem in this series. I absolutely love how he is presented as a strong man. Intelligent. Very capable. Seems like he's an accomplished warrior, at least to some degree. But he is also very respectful and treats the women around him as people. He gives their opinions, their voices, and their feelings real time. Most of the time men are either written as dominant or too soft. And I think Taghi is a really perfect, balanced, male character of strong and caring/respectful. He doesn't have a fragile male ego. He's not so sensitive that he's going to cry at having his feelings hurt. I think he's a very well rounded, well developed character, and I think writing a male character like this is really really hard, because we're so used to male characters either being "dominant" or too sensitive. So I really appreciate Taghi, and I have definitely developed a soft spot for him.As for him and Mac, I definitely want to see them end up together, and I can understand her feeling hurt - but it does seem like she harbors resentment for too long. There are even moments where she seems like she lets go, or she almost does, and realizes that she's behaving poorly, but then falls right back into it all over again. I just think that at those moments of realization, she would have started pulling herself out of it quicker. She is a strong woman. I think she would have recognized her mistakes, or at the very least how her behavior is beneath her, if nothing else, and would have turned her behavior around sooner. And I'd really like to get to see more depth with her. So far we just have flirty, mischievous, angry, and stubborn. And I know a lot of it may have to do with her up bringing, but it just seems like she's more of a surface character where Taghi has a lot of depth. But I do absolutely love them and am really hoping that they end up together!! :)

the story continues
This book wasn’t as good as the others…it takes a loooong time for the plot to unwind. As in the other books, the various POV continue to be interesting. Although, at this part in the story, things are pretty dark. I’ll continue reading…looking forward to the next book.

Great book, slow start.
When I started reading this series, I did not expect to love it as much. I feel as if this particular book Took a long time to unravel. We know from the ending of the last book, Nehelion was on his way to find Gandrett once he was healed. I feel as if it took more than half of the book For the protagonist to meet her love interest and confirm it. Much longer to even reach the actually plot.... The story could have developed a lot quicker Without all the unnecessary dialogue. With all that said, can't wait for the next one.

I could not put it down!
The best book in the series so far and comparable to Sarah J. Maas with some unexpected twists. Just know that it ends with less conflicts resolved than it started with. I'm dying to read the next book!
