Shattered Kingdom

I absolutely loved the book. Gandrett was an interesting character and I liked Nehelon and the Brenheran family as well.I do wish the Order of Vala had been elaborated on but the world intrigues me a lot and I would like to know more about it. I want to know more about Ulfray and the Fae as well and if an author is able to make want to know more about the world and the characters ,it's a good sign.The one thing I would have avoided was the repetitive use of Fae male but other than that , it was a really good book and I would recommend it.

I love a good fantasy! Having picked up quite a few advertised by Amazon and then putting them aside as reading would have been a waste of time, I was very pleasantly surprised when I started this book and, not only was it immensely readable, well written etc but the storyline was also interesting and sucked one right in! So happy I started it. Its a very good read with well drawn characters and leaves one thirsting for more!

This is a good and mostly interesting story but gosh! It sure is long winded. An awful lot of mental hand wringing goes on too, which I find incredibly tiresome. I'm kind of interested to know how Gandrett wimds up being some reincarnated faé princess or the second coming, or whatever thing it's building toward, but I can't be dealing with all the nobel self-sacrifice rubbish between now and getting there.

I love it when I can feel the emotions of the characters in me while reading. The fragile blossom of love between the characters was really convincing and added another layer to the story. Looking forward to the next book.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Gandretts character is a force to be reckoned with. meh Elon is an intriguing character that you both love to hate. Good combination of intensity building and revelations. Really enjoyable and easy to read.
