Hallelujah Choruses from High School Classrooms
Every high schooler like myself knows that pencils are essential everyday (especially for those "pop" essay write ups in English). And when you're writing, you ultimately just want one that works. Sure, you'll want one that feels nice, looks cool, has a cool grip, colors that make your eyes pop, but eventually someone who's sad enough to take it does so. Oh, and let's not even start to talk about those terrible mechanicals that look and work great, but whose erasers cause a word to be smeared rather than actually erased. This pencil covers everything in a teenager's mind: 1) IT WORKS. 2) Lead doesn't break thanks to the spring action thingy. No more broken lead (it just makes your life that much harder in the moment) 3) Eraser ACTUALLY ERASES COMPLETELY!! 4) It won't break when you drop it, practically indestructible for a mechanical pencil I would list more, but I would probably bore everyone. So long story short, this pencil is amazing cause it's cheap, durable, and just flat out works. Which is what every high schooler who is writing those in-class essays or solving a math problem wants. Actually, it's what everyone wants. Simple.

I love these pencils
They recently changed the color of the body and it's taking some getting used to. More yellowish and less orange-pencil color.

Good, with one flaw
They write very nicely. The shock absorbing factor is very nice as well--lead doesn't break while you are writing and I feel like I don't find myself pressing as hard as I would with a normal mechanical pencil. The eraser works very well and leaves no marks behind. The price is good. The only reason I took one star off is because you have to twist the tip of the pencil to get more lead, rather than click near the eraser end. I didn't think anything of it at first, but now I am conscious of how often I have to advance the lead, because I have to stop taking notes in class and use both hands to twist it, rather than a quick click. When your professor is speaking at a lightning pace and you are trying to write key words, that extra second does matter. However, it is not a big enough issue that I will stop using these pencils, but it may influence whether or not I purchase them a second time, depending on the price and reviews of other mechanical pencils.

Lead was not at all like the original pencils
I had a large box of this same brand of pencil that I used over the past several years. I really liked them: easy to use, advance the lead without having to load more, etc. Despite seeing the 7% bad reviews, I decided to buy them. The first pencil seemed fine. The second and third ones (I keep them in several places around the house) made only light marks on the paper, not at all like a #2 lead pencil.

These have changed for the worse!
My favourite pencil has greatly declined in quality. The pencil used to be more orange (or at least darker yellow) and now it is a bright yellow with very plastic feeling lead. I am wondering if I purchased a knock-off product because the pencil that was once amazing... is now horrible to write with. The lead is not nice and soft and the eraser is hard and feels like plastic. The pencils don't even feel the same to grip. I am so very disappointed.

Pick it up and right write.
Former draftsman here pre CAD, oh the joys of using a pencil to do all your layout work before inking in. I can relive those glory days with these 0.7mm auto pencils though it seems a shame to dispose when the lead runs out. I will just get some replacement leads and be back in business. Great value and the ergonomics are sweet.
