I love to cook and use hing frequently in Indian dishes. I have celiac disease and it turns out most asafeotida has wheat in it. This is one of the few that doesn’t. It’s good quality at a good price and gluten free!

The product tastes terrible. When I looked at the ingredients, I noticed that it is not pure. Do not buy.

I threw it out - it smelled even when sealed in a separate container. I was looking for Yellow Cobra brand but couldn’t find it so tried this instead. Do not recommend.

Good product. A little goes a long way. Note, unlike powdered onions and garlic you have to cook hing. It’s not edible raw. So you can’t just sprinkle it on a food without cooking it through.

This product came taped together and the canister seal was broken. Do not buy. Total waste of money. Cannot return.

Far too smelly and too strong of flavor compared to other brands. I can tolerate but not nearly as enjoyable.

While screwing the top off, powder was falling out. After removing the cap completely, I notice that the seal had already been broken.

Useful for anyone who likes savoury food, essential for anyone sensitive to onion or garlicAs with all asafoetida it is mixed with other ingredients so check strength in comparison to what you have used before, this is five times stronger that the supermarket brand I used before

I discovered the use of this product - Hing, whilst watching Indian cookery programme. I have to say it certainly enhances the taste of the food. I now use Hing in most of my Indian cooking.

Asafetida is a lovely touch to add to a curry. You only need a 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon at most but the results are gorgeous. It enhances a curry each and every time, to the point where I now know whether a pinch has been put in or not.

Product seal was broken and foil lid was open. The sell by date had expired a year ago.
