Backstory: I just put up a metal Allen+Roth gazebo and my wife had some solar string lights that we wanted to put up. I didn’t want to drill holes in it and have always had bad experiences with adhesive solutions to hold pc wires under my desk so I didn’t want to have that happen on a bigger scale. Magnets seemed like the perfect solution and the black color on these along with rated strength sounded perfect.Performance -These things are strong, you wouldn’t think that string lights would be too heavy but these had some pretty thick cables and I needed something that could hold up the bulbs without making me worry. So far these are doing the job exceedingly well.Stability -Due to the nature of magnets (not so much the products fault) they will slide around if mounted horizontally much easier than if mounted vertically. I found this out the hard way as it slid on me a few times. I readjusted them to hand more vertically and they have been solid since. They still well enough to aluminum that I’d have to give a decent pull for them to come off.Hooks -The hooks are blunt and while they looked smaller than I anticipated, they ended up being a perfect size for my needs. I think the worst part of the process was getting them all twisted in because I got 40 of them (10 for each side of the gazebo to be extra sure) but I didn’t have any issues with the threading as others have mentioned. I did find it difficult in some cases to twist it as the coating can make it a bit slippery. Using gloves or your shirt for additional grip is enough to fix that.Ease of removal -With a little over natural degree of force you should be able to pull them off of an aluminum surface. It sticks hard but it should be strong enough to be impossible by any means. Sliding it sideways might make it easier too.Overall -I’ve only had it for one day but I’m confident that under normal conditions I won’t need to bother checking up on them. If I don’t update with a complaint later after a storm or something more severe then assume that everything went fine. I tend to leave enough reviews that I’d remember to come back if there’s a problem. So far I highly recommend these and commend this company for making a great product at a reasonable price, that’s pretty rare these days.

Very strong magnet. Really great with the hook and stay where you place them. I have bought them twice and will probably buy them again. Good quality, price, and do better than expected.

These magnetic hooks were purchased to use in my cruise ship cabin to hang my costume jewelry, outerwear and place paperwork on the metal walls (like shore excursions, etc).They were much smaller than I expected (I noticed the 30 lbs weight they could hold instead of the actual size of the hook). Even though they were small, they still served their purpose for the most part and were very strong.However, I would have liked a larger hook with a stronger weight-holding capacity (75 lbs).

I got these to attach to my functional trainer. I have so many attachments and extra carabiners they were piling up on the floor. They come in two sections, a hook and the magnet, that need to be screwed together which is easy to do. There was no issues putting the two pieces together. The magnet is so strong that its kinds hard to pull them apart out of the box. All of my items are held onto the steel supports and don't slide down once loaded. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner!! I'm very happy with the look and quality of this hook, the only thing that might have been better is if I had ordered in a flat black color to match my FTX trainer. Definitely recommend these strong little magnets!

Con: Hooks themselves are a lot smaller than I realized.Pros: Very strong magnet, hold a decent amount of weight, easy to reposition.I am using them in a metal storage container we use as a barn and milking parlour for my dairy goats. So the wall is metal with one layer of paint over it. I have a handful of these hooks securing my large whiteboard to the wall that I couldn't get secured with heavy duty magnets. I have these holding small packages of hose attachments, garden plant clips, and as extra supports for some magnetic shelves I bought that aren't very secure. After my husband saw how I was using these he asked me to order him a large package too for the garage.

These are strong and work well for hanging things from the metal braving on my classroom ceiling and on my whiteboards. They are easy to use and the magnets have had sufficient strength to hold anything I have needed to hang.
