Update: remote suddenly “failing” (it’s not the remote)
UPDATE: many people experience the remote suddenly failing to work. My remote finally started showing this behavior a year after my purchase. But I do know what is happening: This happens in the winter or perhaps in a well air conditioned home. The battery gets cold, the juice solidifies and the remote fails to catch a signal. There are three remedies: 1). Hold the remote on a warm part of your body (I tuck it under the back of my knee and tuck in my leg), 2) Take a blow dryer to the remote or 3) Remove the battery and roll it swiftly between your palms to heat it up. This takes about 30 seconds, as does the blow dryer. The first suggestion takes longer. This occurs with many models and it is not the remote that is broke, it is the battery that is too cold. Interesting point: look at the reviews that complain about the remote stopping suddenly, and check out the date of their review. 🙂 They are all in cold months. Other than frigid batteries, this is a very reliable device. Enjoy! OLDER REVIEW: I had a trio of remote outlets I bought back about five years ago for the Christmas tree. They finally gave out on me, but it might be battery related. Either way, I bought new batteries and also bought new remote plugs; this one has five. The buttons on the remote controls are labeled and the plugs (1-3, anyway) work well. The only issue I have is the older plugs I had allowed me to plug my lamps in the side. These only offer a receptacle on the front, making the plug jet out, making it difficult to tuck the cords away. It has a good range. I went clear over to the front of my house to turn on the lamp in the back room, and it easily turned on the lamp through the walls and any other crud I have, taking up space and blocking the plug. This means when I do get my tree up, I can turn the tree lights on and off from my seat. It comes with two remotes. The plugs come with a button on the side to activate the plug. You plug one plug in each device, and both remotes immediately work. No need to sync or pair the remote with the outlet the way you would with Bluetooth. Of course, with two remotes, someone else can have control of your devices. If you’re a control freak, good luck with that! But I like to think of it as having an extra remote to replace one that will no doubt get lost some day. The only way I could handle the previously lost remote issue with the set that only came with one remote, was to turn the lights on and off manually. When I had the lights on, I shifted in my seat and the light suddenly turned off. I found the remote beside my recliner cushion. Then I added a key ring to it and hung it on my metal desk lamp that’s holding all sorts of magnetic gizmos. And in mentioning that, I should add that I glued a small powerful magnet to one of the remotes of these outlets and it easily sticks to the metal lamp, replacing the previous remote. I do like these remote controlled outlets, even with the front-facing receptacles, which is nothing more than a mild nuisance. I am considering buying another set, but I do want to try to get my older set working first. No sense in wasting something that could be repaired. I do recommend these. If I have any issues with this set, I will be certain to update my review. But I will also update to mention any feature I discover that suddenly impresses me.

Easy and Useful!!!
When I first got the product, I was so excited because I had some hard-to-reach lights and this product makes those lights easy to turn on and off. I also have it used for Christmas lights and for my audio system. I have not had any problems or complaints except for one thing. My one remote would suck down the battery life so quickly. I am talking roughly a week. I had been using this remote as the main remote. Then after realizing the battery drainage issue, I switched out batteries, then finally switched the remote. So, at this time the remote with the problem was used once a week and it still had the problem. This wasn't the end of the world by any means because the other remote didn't have its battery replaced since I first got the system. However, I decided I would ask customer service to see if there was anything I or them could do. They got right back to me and replaced the whole system at no charge. After about a week of use with the replacement as of 2/21/22, I have had no further issues. This company went out of its way to make sure I was happy! They even emailed me back making sure that the replacement worked. This product is easy to use and set up. You can even change which outlets respond to various buttons. This allows it to be customizable where if you have Christmas lights with various outlets, you can have one button turn them all on and off. This is easy to do too! Just hold down the button on the side of the outlet you want to change and it will blink I think. Then you press whatever button on the remote that you want to have associated with that outlet. Each outlet is numbered and that corresponds to the numbers on the remote and I think the numbers will always be tied to one another. I have noticed that to erase the learned outlet you just unplug it. Also, the range on the remote is excellent too! Finally, now that I have two units, I thought the old remote would work with the new system giving me three remotes but that is not the case. All in all, I am super happy and highly recommend this product to anyone with hard-to-reach electronics or for some simplicity! And know that the customer service is excellent too if there are any problems!

Excellent right out of the box!
These actually came pre-programmed out of the box (#1-5 in sequence), which is what I wanted, so I didn't even have to program them. I put four of them to immediate use, and so far they are working great. I'm sure to find a purpose for that 5th one... Got them doing light switch duty, and with a fresh battery they work fine around corners and through walls. I prefer 'clicky' buttons on my remotes, and this particular model had them. I don't know if the 'newer version' has soft buttons or not. If installed in the top slot of a standard vertical 2 port grounded outlet, the size of the receivers don't block access to the bottom outlet. Nice. I didn't really need a second remote, but I'll have a spare in case something happens to the one I'm using. For the convenience and ease of use, these are a win! :)

Works perfectly
The outlets work perfectly. As I write I have been using them for a few weeks. I bought them to replace similar units (different brand) from a home center store that failed after a few months. I will be interested to discover how long these last. So far, so good. They have a nice positive feel. And, they are a good value for the money.

Can’t recommend these in office, especially at Christmas and holiday time
These things are awesome to have in your house, especially around Christmas time or if you have certain things you’d like to click on and off like we have a PUMPKiN light. I’m using it on right now. It has a bunch of different remotes and you can hook up several appliances. Nothing really needs to be mounted and it’s compatible with most outlets!

Easy to Use
This set works perfectly! The remote makes it very easy to turn the lights off and on. The fixture that goes into the wall is large and prevents many of my other 3-prong plugs to go into the outlet above (or below)☹️.

Love these so much!
These are amazing and a game changer if you have a lot of various lights you like to turn on once it gets dark! Shared this with my family, and we're all using this in our homes - one remote to turn on everything by clicking buttons! I saw the idea in a review, and I'm so happy I did!

YES! You can combine multiple sets!!
These switches are simple, versatile, and have good range. Best of all, you can combine sets and create crazy control combos! You just have to use kits that use similar looking remotes and understand how the programming works. The remotes are unprogrammable but the outlets are programmable. Each remote outputs five ON/OFF control channels. Each remote outputs unique signals even when they come bundled together. Out of the box, each outlet comes pre-programmed to respond to the same ON/OFF channel on all of the included remotes. The good news is that the outlet can learn to respond to more ON/OFF channels on the same/different remote(s). To program, unplug and plug the outlet, hold the side button till the LED flashes, then press the ON button on the remote's channel that you want to use. If it's successful, the outlet will click and stop flashing. Now, the outlet will respond to the original ON/OFF channel plus the new channel—even if it's on a different remote! You can rinse and repeat to have the same outlet respond to multiple ON/OFF channels from multiple remotes. So how do you get 2 packs of outlets to work with all four remotes? Or spare remotes? You have to program each outlet to respond to the ON/OFF channels on EACH additional remote that didn't come bundled with it. I've made one outlet respond to ten different ON/OFF channels across multiple sets of remotes (to test) and it worked without any issue! But, you can't remove channels one by one from an outlet. You have to reset the outlet, where it forgets ALL the channels/programming. To do that, unplug the outlet, hold the side button, plug it in, and release the button once it stops flashing. Now that outlet is unpaired to all channels—a clean slate to reprogram. Remember: if your kit came with two remotes, you'll have to independently reprogram the outlet to respond to each remote. You can make all remotes control the same set of outlets this way. Or you can make some channels unified and some channels split. You can program so many crazy combos.
