I was first introduced to dried Persian Limes when cooking with the chef of the Saudi Royal family many years back. It was a flavor I had never experienced before, and hadn't had again since. When I saw them on Amazon from Burma Spice I had to have them. These limes are hand picked and perfectly dried, and the unique flavor is perfect for rice dishes and stews.

I use these fir manyIndiana dishes. The flavor is not too strong. You do have to prick the tough outer skin to get maximum flavor, but that is easily accomplished. Toss them when serving and your dish will be better for having used them. The package I received is fresh in appearance, and arrived promptly.

These dried limes are a “must have” when making some Persian stews, such as Gormeh Sabzi. This product is “fresh” and comes with a “use by” date, which I think is important when a cook takes precious time and talent to produce a fine dinner. The limes were used in Khoresh-e-Gheimeh, and it tasted great. I also found the persian dried limes in an Asian grocery store for a third of the cost here. It is very convenient to order online and the shipping was fast.

I've had a Ghormeh Sabzi recipe given to me by a coworker for 10 years but never had all of the ingredients until finding both Persian limes and Fenugreek on Amazon! Wow, what a homerun of a dish; everyone loved it! Definitely wouldn't have been the same without the dried limes. I highly recommend this product.
