Smart Planet Piano Mat

I can't believe I'm saying this about a plastic toy, but this was an awesome Christmas gift for my daughter. Santa brought it and I had to wonder what he was thinking. I mean, who needs a huge, loud toy around, right? But I've gotta say, first of all, you can adjust the volume. What a relief. But this thing also rolls up! So you can store it under the bed!! This is what makes this thing do-able for parents -- the kids play, drive you crazy, and then run off to do something else. This is when you roll it up and stash it for a bit, and hopefully the kids forget about it for awhile. We've been pulling this thing out for three years now and it never fails to impress whomever is visiting. And to be honest, it's not THAT annoying. It has rhythm built in, as well as some songs that are actually enjoyable as opposed to a tinny "Mary Had a Little Lamb". The kids really do have tons of fun with this, and I would totally buy it for birthday gifts if I didn't think I'd get in trouble with the parents.

I originally bought this for a coworkers son for his second birthday. I was at first concerned about the size, the dimensions seemed pretty large. Once the package came, the size was just right, turns out it's longer than it is wider which wasn't a problem. I love that you can adjust the volume, there are 8 different instruments that can be played, and the sound is crisp. it's so easy to control that he learned how to turn it off himself, change the volume, record and playback within a matter of minutes. The piano is also not just for kids, I'm 23 and I was right there with him playing. The best part: clean up is easy, just get a damp rag and give it a once over and you're done. The piano can be rolled up and put away until next time.I loved this product so much that I plan to buy it again as a Christmas gift for my own nieces and nephew.

Works great- I was so excited about this because I wanted my kids to have something to burn some energy inside during the cold weather. My 1 and 3 year old seem to enjoy it... However I guess I should've anticipated the noise of two kids playing on a piano! Ear plugs wouldn't be a bad idea.The good news is that the volume can be lowered to a tolerable level, the bad news is that the volume button is fun to press and on the mat so the kids really enjoy putting the volume back up.This is fairly large and I'll attach a photo with my 1 yr old on it for comparison.

Got it for them as a christmas gift. We opened it up, put batteries in and took it for a test run. Sure isn't as big as the image makes it look to be but very decent size for my one and three year old to jam out on. Double A batteries makes it easy to keep powered. Doesn't take too much effort to play with. The Record and Demo feature take a little more fiddling but how necessary are they really? Really liked how it folded up easily and fit back into the box, not only for gift giving but getting it put away when they are done playing. Should make them happy and Im glad I picked it up for them.

This is a great toy! My child has been asking Santa numerous times for a floor piano. The length of this is more than enough for my two kids to play in it together. They have fun for hours just hopping around playing music. It is plastic which is great for easy clean up and does fine on any surface you place it in. I have wood floors and it is a little slippery on them. The volume always defaults to the loudest setting when it turns on. This is a great toy for the price!

Bought them for my granddaughters for Christmas and they loved them. And I have to say I get a kick out of getting very noisy toys for both of my sons children. You see they made sure during the teenage years to drive me as crazy as possible so in my passive aggressive attempt to even the score....I buy things like foot piano's to make sure they are living in as much noise as humanly possible. Okay....now to be serious. The product is very well made and the kids are having a blast with them. What a great toy to get a child away from the computer and the TV ....dance and get some exercise. I love them. So do the kids!

[...] We purchased it for a 3 year old birthday gift and it was a hit. Once opened, 4 kids (ages 2-4) were jumping all over the thing. The sound/volume is great but I wouldn't call it music - but I would definitely call it fun. It engaged the youngest and the oldest people in the room - everyone just had to touch it. Maybe as the kids get older they will learn to "play" it. Overall - a blast. Great gift idea - don't forget the batteries!

I bought this through Amazon because the one catalog vendor that I saw it in had discontinued the product. This concerned me so I reviewed all the online reviews before buying the product since I knew it would get quite a workout from my 5 yr. old grandson with Down Syndrome. He lives far away from me but his Mom writes that he is having a ball with it. He's only had it since Christmas so we'll see how long it lasts, especially with his five older brothers and sisters trying it out as well!

Received product within a couple of days of order. My 11 months (3 months premature) baby has to learn to crawl but he's more interested in trying to stand up which the pediatrician does not allow yet. He has to work on crawling and learning to protect himself from falls so I wanted to find something that would make it more interesting for him. So far, he seems to like it but the plastic surface is slippery which makes it hard for him to get traction when he's wearing his PJ. The upside is that its easy to clean. The demo music is great with many tunes, it has many different instruments sounds, a record and playback feature as well as a volume control. The notes are somewhat off key but its a toy, not a grand piano! Overall, for the price and speed of delivery, it exceeded my expectations.

Wonderful product for a toddler. Easy to use. Good for stimulating interest in music. Enough choices of pre programmed songs for a child. Easy to clean and store. For older children, five to seven years old, it is a good interactive toy for kids playing together.

It was a big hit with the kids.
