Made in China
The right legs house the wheels. The screw's threads on the right front leg were cock-eyed. I called the customer service (Canada) 8 days ago, and they said they would send a new front right leg right away. I called again today, and they said it was just shipped out today. My research on Broil King was this was a US company out of Indiana. If there were a little quality control at the place the parts were manufactured, this would not have happened. Buy American and hope it's manufactured in North America.Hopefully I can give this product more than 3 stars, but we'll see after it's completely assembled and it has been grill tested. The new part arrived and the grill is now in business. If it exceeds my expectations, I'll give it another star at a later date.

Impenetrable Warranty support and claims contacts
Problems right out of the box! Been trying to get through the phone maze of their support and warranty contact point no success after nearly 30 minutes of being routed about to number which told me I had reached them outside of their normal business hours.... A Friday @ 1:30 PM EST-DST (18:30 GMT/UTC)!!Came with peeling paint, broken/non-working thermometer, warped lid. tried to fire it and smoke pours out everywhere... Probably could have-maybe worked this out if I could have actually been able to get through their warranty/tech support maze to a person... but nope! Left a contact message, but likely it has been sucked down into the galactic super massive black hole know as customer support never to be heard from or seen again!Bought it at a much higher price than the same style units of competitors due to their manufacture being in the U.S. & Canada. My neighbor has one of those other brands and it was good out of the box & never given him any trouble... Just cannot give this one any kind of a positive recommendation. Its as simple as build it right, ship it in a good protective container, and be readily available to take care of any warranty and/or unit troubles out of the box! Total dissatisfaction at this point.Edit: 04/24/2021Broil King sent a replacement temperature gauge, which is working fine after I replaced it. Broil King also sent some touch up paint in an 8 oz. rattle can. As for just where this unit is actually made, when I looked at the serial & model number sticker to file the claim on the listed items, the sticker states "Made in China", see attached image:

Good quality grill. New and improved?
When i first received the grill I was disappointed to find that it was not made in USA or Canada as Broil King suggests on their website. See my picture. After I got past that, I assembled the grill and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The grill is heavy and the steel is relatively thick. This is way more robust than the average grill sold at big home improvement stores. The grates are heavy duty cast iron. The charcoal trays and ash tray are stainless steel. The lid is heavy and sturdy with double wall insulation and a gasket. The dampers are made of metal! From the pictures I thought they were made of plastic. The wheels are substantial and do not feel cheap. The included hardware is good quality too.I did notice some differences between the grill I received and the pictures I've seen online. I believe Broil King has recently updated the design. The stainless steel trays for the coals and ash no longer have handles. The lid has been upgraded with a piece of stainless steel for insulation and a gasket around the edge. The dual side doors to access the fire have been reduced to only one door on the right side, but the door has been upgraded with a gasket all the way around the edge. The lid handle is now longer and has a cushion grip.Problems/Concerns:1. One of the included screws was damaged and unusable. Luckily they are common 1/4-20 so I was able to find a replacement.2. The wheels come with plastic covers. I could not get the covers on. They are just for looks though so who cares.3. The side door for accessing the coals doesn't operate smoothly. The nut needs to be very loose in order for the handle to operate freely. Time will tell how that holds up.4. Almost half of the front shelf is blocked by the lid handle when the lid is closed.Even though the grill was not manufactured where I expected it to be - it's a good quality grill. Its not a bad option in this price point.

Grill size is a “400” grill not a 500 as posted
This is a very good quality grill! I am using less charcoal as it holds the heat so well. The air vents also work well at adjusting the temperature. I also really appreciate the adjustable footing on the legs. I only have two issues with this grill. The first is, the cast iron grates fit a little loose so you have to be careful when cleaning or putting to much weight on the grates to avoid pushing them down onto the charcoal pans.Second, this grill is described on the Amazon website as a “500”. It also showed the dimensions of a “400” and, what you get is a 400 grill. So the description is a little confusing if you are not careful. I thought I was ordering a 500 grill! I believe this issue is the fault of the manufacture, not Amazon as it is listed exactly the same way on a competing website. Anyway, I’m enjoying it and getting use to its size.

Regal 400 Charcoal Grill
Coming in at about 150 Lb. .This is a hefty unit. The Best grill I've ever owned.I Didn't have any missing pieces like I read someone else did.But I did have a dent in the bottom shelf which was an easy fix.I just hit it a few times on a flat surface with a hammer. The grill retains heat well. It also features iron grates to cook on.They are getting harder to find with most going to porcelain coated grates these days. The ash catcher tray gets most of the ashes but not all.I find myself sweeping or vacuuming whats left up. All in All a very nice grill that will probably last much longer than the several years others I've owned have.
