Q: can this be used for swimming in cold water?

Have no idea but get a different brand. Other brands will last2+ years these didn’t last the season

Q: Can you stick them on your skin

I've not tried this brand but the one's I've used are the pocket size and those give off a lot of heat and I don't think I'd want to put this against my skin! Now, if these are designed to wear against your skin then I can't imagine them giving off the same kind of heat as the pocket ones so my guess would be to try them and see. My money is on the pocket packs for the most heat I'd personally be afraid to wear anything that generates heat next to my skin. Good Luck!
