LightPad Light Box-6"X9" (Pack of 1)

I did a bit of research before purchasing this type of product - there are several light boxes out there ranging in price and performance - and based upon reviews and recommendations it seemed to me that if you want the right tool for the job then avoid the cheap ones.The Autograph LightPad caught my eye and fitted into my requirements and budget - so that's what I went for.It's a little more expensive than some of the others - but worth every penny - here's why:- The bright LED light is white (as opposed to warm, yellowy colours from bulbs)- Light is consistent and even all the way to the edges of the active working area.- The double layered, firm work area comfortably fits an A3 sheet with a little room around it.- The LightPad looks professional and cool with its aluminium and steel frame.- It's perfect for illustration, design and creative tasks.- The LightPad is well constructed, not bulky or too heavy and doesn't get too hot.Generally I think this is a fantastic bit of kit - and it has quickly become an essential part of my illustration equipment.

this is a very good light box. it is lighter than many, but still not as light as i would like... ie, with thick paper it doesn't work so well.the service provided by the suppliers (who are in the States) was outstanding.

Provides a very bright and even light that makes tracing easy. I purchased it primarily to help my kids with learning to write (eventually) where you can place sheets of letters on the unit and any old paper (no special paper needed) on top and they can trace away at the letters or all sorts of shapes. You kind of need to tape them down though.5 stars because it is built like a tank for what it is, does exactly what it says it will do. I wish we got a bigger size but they get pricey.I would have been happier if there was a battery option, it can be inconvenient to need to use it only near an electrical outlet. I understand that they sell some external battery pack for use with it, but honestly there is no reason why they couldn't have added a spot for AAA batteries in the body and even if they only lasted a few hours that would have been fine.

Very fast delivery. There's a few major problems with the product. First, the brightness is not uniform across the surface. Secondly, there is a black dot close to the centre of the screen similar to a burn from a cigarette but very small. This could be a major issue depending of the type of work you're doing. It's in the plastic itself (you easily feel the bump and it can't be removed). Obviously, there is no quality control at the factory.Nice pouch to store it. Unfortunately, the pouch smell bad (and strongly!) and there is no space to include the AC adapter.I got this after taste you have when you just realize that you had been ripped off. However, if you absolutely need one and can live with that feeling, it may be the tool you need.
