Dam Sharks

My son and I enjoyed watching this movie together.

I collect killer shark flicks. They don’t have to be brilliant. They don’t have to be good. They just have to have killer sharks on a rampage, the more the merrier. In this case, a storm has driven sharks upstream and given them an idea on how to collect foodstuffs. Build a better dam. If a beaver can do it, why can’t sharks. And so they become team players and together they rally to make a dam fine larder of sorts. They start with a swimmer; add a diver, fishermen, hikers. Anyone who gets too close is added to their assemblage. Unfortunately for them, a game warden takes exception to their carnage and decides to put an end to it. Meanwhile, elsewhere on the river, there’s a CEO jerk (Jason London as Tanner Brooks) who forces some of his staff on a wilderness retreat. Yes, they become the main course.This film is equal parts trying to stay alive, being eaten, and who will eventually survive. It’s played mostly for laughs. Jason London in particular takes the role of a buffoon to the extreme. The premise is absurd. The editing slices and dices the scenes into bite size proportions. They use a raft race as an excuse to get most of the cast on the water. Few stay around long enough to register as people, never mind becoming characters we can enjoy. It’s silly, hilarious, and still quite awful. But I loved it for exactly those reasons. It is crap, but I happen to like crap.

The unusual concept of sharks building dams out of human body parts made me buy it, but I wasn't expecting much out of it besides a lot of blood and gore.A much better story than expected. Well done special effects without the expected blood and gore. Pleasant surprise.An excellent addition to my creature features collection, which numbers around 200 and including about 50 shark attack movies.Fun.

This isn't a bad movie. i love shark movies and i've seen some horrible ones. This one was good, with a few good actors and some amusing kills.

This was a hilarious movie, that by the way. Have been looking for this movie for a while.. this movie was actually filmed where my dad works and I was so excited to see it... I highly recommend the movie if you want a triller and a laugh.. it’s not scary kids can watch it from 8 and up..

I didn’t believe in God until I watched this movie.

Where some people call things bad, or awful movies I have always loved them. This was no exception to that rule and I have watched hundreds of what might be considered bad. For me they are good as I enjoy the entertainment aspect of not taking yourself to serious while at the same time watching a movie that still has blood and gore.So as far as I am concerned this was a five star based on purely just enjoying the entertainment value of the film, but I don't think to young should watch the film.
