Jensen CD-550 Portable Stereo Compact Disc Cassette Recorder with AM/FM Radio

I love it. I am digitizing cassettes right now, so this way I can play them through and discover what I would like to preserve. As a composer, I look for cassette ideas I had put down years ago and never finished. They when I digitize the piece, I can put it on Garage Band (APPLE) and dress it up to my heart's content. So rewarding. I see a remote control star line below. I don't have one with mine.

Light and easy to move around to different areas of the yard or house. Sounds great. Can use included electical cord or batteries. I like it and use it on my deck when I'm grilling or chilling!!

Nice looking unit, but the quality is not there. Out of the box, the cd player worked until the fifth song and then quit. Thought it might be the cd. Put another one in couldn't get it to work at all first, but then it did start working as it should. Sound was okay. Tried to play cassettes. Player was making clicking noises. Put another tape in, same noise. Took out tapes and pressed play. Noise coming from the tape player. Time to send this back!

The reception was VERY poor because it has NO antenna attached as advertised. The instruction booklet says the antenna is built in. I would have never purchased it, if I knew it had no antenna. Very poor quality reception as a result.

The AM FM is not digital so it is tough to tune in to a station. The sound quality was pretty good.
