Very sweet story!
Nicely told and excellent conflict resolution. So great to have characters from the previous books reappear. I loved this series. I was only sad that it ended. I've read them over and over.

this one makes you think
If you've read the first two books in this series then you are well aware of the world that the author has created. This is more of the same, with the exception that Bebe was born into this world, not captured from the 'wild'. If you are like me and just tried to forget about the more disturbing aspects of the reality of this world, this book will force you to face all of them and more. I think for that reason I didn't enjoy this book as well as the previous two. Same hot action, incredibly well told story and a nice ending. But maybe a little too serious of subject matter to qualify as fluff. I'm unashamed that I mostly just want fluff.

Tired extension to an interesting universe
The original book was an interesting idea and nicely executed. This one provides nothing original and doesn't have the heat of the first. It's not badly done but it feels pointless.

This was a book about abuse
There was torture, de-humanizing behavior, rape, extreme trauma and beatings galore. Honestly, I was shocked 😲 at how horrible this world is. It wasn't even sexy at all. All the sex had this ick factor because it was covered in trauma. I just felt bad reading this. I did finish it but I kind of regret it. I definitely don't recommend it. This was too traumatic for me.

Read ALL three books first before passing judgement
So I read the other two books in the series with interest but wasn't really engaged and the story seemed a bit off, don't know why.But this, the final instalment of the "Pets" series was a good conclusion of what appeared to be a never ending spankfest and miscommunication.Bebe happens over 25 years after the book "Pets: Pani's Story" and shows interaction between the 'monsters' and a captive born human leads to the ending of the Pet trade on this alien planet.Tral was a delight and Phelps' ability to reflect his dorkish mannerisms and speech added entertainment to what could have been just a dark and soulless recounting of alien slavers.Grit your teeth and read all three books before you pass judgement. Well worth the time even if, like me, you're not particularly into spanking and age-play.
