Great Food Processor...So Far
Let me start with two facts:1) Even though the write-up does not indicate this, this came with a dicing kit (like the 14-cup version does)--this dicing set-up is supposed to retail for an extra $179;2) This is about $100 less expensive than the 14-cup version (which I had and which came DOA, was replaced, and then died in less than a year!), and yet all the parts of the 14-cup version fit this 13-cup machine, including the 14-cup basket, which appears to be exactly the same size(!).IF this actually lasts more than 9 months, I'll be very happy with it. The slicing option is great, and I really like the fact I can select the thickness of the slices. I love the dicing function; I use it to cut tomatoes for the salad bar I provide each month for our church's fellowship lunch--it turns an hour-long process of hand dicing 5 or 6 lbs. of tomatoes into a 10-minute process. I use firm Roma tomatoes, but as long as they're not soft, they dice beautifully. And it also works perfectly for diced potatoes, beats, onions, and anything else FIRM you want diced into 3/8" cubes.I wish the on/off buttons on this were actually buttons and not just spots on the front of the machine you're supposed to push. This (and the 14-cup version) often takes two or three tries before the machine turns on. It takes quite a stiff push to turn them on; I often use my thumb rather than a finger.I did purchase the 3-year extended warranty, and would highly recommend that to anyone purchasing a Kitchenaid Food Processor. Years ago, their reputation was different, but today, they aren't as dependable.

Kitchenaide quality fit and finish and POWERFUL
It's a Kitchenaide. In other words, it works great, is a solid build and fairly quiet. Quiet as opposed to jet engine loud like our other processor. The powerful motor can do even the toughest food without grinding to a halt. I do chickpeas for humus and this processor goes through them like a hot knife through butter.Update 4/15/18 - Is there anything this thing won't process? I like to process lamb to make our version of gyros. In the past, it was a chore since I had to do the 2 pounds of lamb in small batches so the food processor could handle it. Then, I got this beast. I put the entire 2 pounds of lamb in the food processor and turned it on. If the meat didn't rotate in the bowl I would have thought I had forgotten to put the blade in. In no time at all and without hardly any effort, the job was done. I am still loving this food processor.

Amazing product
It's well-made with thick plastic. And it came with an extra dicing kit which really surprised me. The first machine had a defective motor so I asked for a replacement. The customer service was excellent, and I got my replaced machine three days after they received the return. So far it's fantastic and versatile. It can shred, slice, chop, dice and knead doughs in seconds, which meet all my demands. It's also very quiet without making high-pitched noise.Yesterday I used it to slice lotus root which I love to eat and hate to slice. I also made a Chinese ramen dough which turned out to be bouncy and delicious noodles. Today I make butternut squash slices and dozens of pork-mushroom meatballs out of this product. The meatballs are bouncy! I definitely love this machine.

I do not recommend this product...
First at all, forgive me if I made any mistake in this writing, I am still learning english...This food processor has a complicated safety system. This system starts with a long and slim plastic rod located in the back of food pusher, the plastic rod, pushes a spring located in the work bowl cover, the spring lifts a lever, the lever takes out a pin, this pin pushes another pin with another spring located inside the handgrip, this last pin finally unlocks the safety system located on the top of the base. There are too many breakables pieces in this system, if one of them break down, your KitchenAid food processor will not start, unless, you replace the broken-down part.I bought my KitchenAid food processor two month ago, I received it about a month ago, I used it three times with some difficulty and then did not work anymore. The pin in the cover is not long enough to push the other pin inside the handgrip, so the system can not be unlock, therefore, the food processor does not start.I have not the possibilIty to replace the broken-down part by the waranty, because I cant register the product in my country, Venezuela. Acording with the manual you can only register the product in, USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. Where can I go to claim for any fail in the product? NOWHEREI have to keep my defective product, or I have to find the way to modify the system in order to get it works, or do something extreme like eliminate the lock system, and this would be dangerous for me... can you imagine the situation?Definitely, the KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-Cup Food Processor does not satisfy my expectations. I thought it was a high quality product but, in my opinion, it does not. So I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, AT ALL.

Wonderful
I bought this food processor for the family for Christmas and it has been a huge hit. It just does everything we needed and we really love the ability to set the thickness of slices and the ease of changing the settings. We did not have any problem setting it up and it has not been any problem cleaning it either. It really just takes rinsing out with soapy water. It is really large and I wanted to leave it sitting out beside my KitchenAid mixer. I could not find a cover for it so I checked to see if the one I have on the mixer would fit and it did, so I just ordered another KitchenAid cover and it works just fine. I am so pleased with this and I always love KitchenAid products.

KitchenAid 13-cup Processor
I would really give this product a 4.75 but it's not an option. Our other Cuisinart Food Processor had a broken piece then eventually cracked. Never was really happy with it. We love to puree soups (hate lumps in my soup) and wanted the biggest food processor possible. My husband and I did a lot of searching for reviews and ratings and decided on this one.As I'm really not a 'kitchen tool techy', I prefer old way of doing things and it usually means less parts to clean, I havce to say I love this product. Very easy to clean and I'm not shy about trying the different blades and it really reduces time spent preparing meals. We still can't put a whole potful of soup into it but it's a great appliance. And although it's so hunky looking it is very light which makes it really easy to put in and out of the bottom drawer in our kitchen. My only negative here is the storage box, if you love puzzles then it's no real fuss but putting the parts back into the storage container can be tricky which is why I would give it less than a full 5.0 rating.

Incredible machine for the money.Don't cheap out or even consider another brand. It destroys, mince & mixes everything we throw at. Perfect for my daugher-father dumpling crafting time - also perfect for making pizza dough. Cleans easily since it fits in the dishwasher. Solid & powerful motor that leaves us confident it won't run out of juice before the end of the task.

This thing is massive, and has the power to control weather patterns. At the bottom of the ocean there are three KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-cup food processors on full tilt supplying the force of the ocean currents. If the moon is made of cheese the KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-cup food processor will process it into a cheese sauce. It is also the creator of the Milky Way.
