Choppy ,short ,christian contemporary romance
This is a short Christian romance. It was an ok read. Any time I finish a book I need to give it more then just one or two stars, but this was leaning to the 2 stars. It held my interest enough for me to finish. This story felt like someone went threw a full length novel and pulled out all the filler and just gave you the bare bones of the story. It just had huge gaps and one chapter would end and you would be a week later of a month later. When you are writing a romance what is happening in that time and the development of a love story is important. I just needed more with this. It didn't feel complete......and I just didn't invest. Very clean, talk of religion.

Touching and Tender
Tess lost her husband a few years ago and took her son and moved to Brush Creek. She has also had breast cancer and is now in remission. Walker Thompson's also lost his wife from a car accident. He and his son live on Brush Creek Horse Ranch where is a the foreman. Together they have ran the cotton candy stand during Heritage Days. Both are very good friends and neither want to take it to the next level. Both are reluctant to share their hearts again, and with Tess already having had to deal with cancer, is this a chance either of them want to make. This is was the most tender, realistic, touching story. A story of leaning on one's faith and letting God drive the bus. I would recommend this wonderful story to all.**I was given this free copy and this is my honest review**

Hanging onto faith!
Tess lost her husband a few years before and moved to the small town with her young son. Tragically she then had breast cancer, treatments and is now in remission. Walker also lost his wife several years earlier. He and his young son moved to the same small town where he’s a ranch foreman. Walker and Tess quickly became close friends, enjoying being together and making the cotton candy for the annual festival for years. Then, things begin to change. They begin to see each other in a romantic way. But, is Tess’s cancer still in remission? Can Walker handle another woman he loves going through a serious illness again? Is it fair to both their sons? This is a wonderful story of leaning on God’s strength and having faith to handle whatever happens.

WARNING!!!! Need Tissues!!
Wow! This book had me reeling! My emotions were all over the place. I so loved this story. Walker and Tess finally get together after losing our spouses (both in accidents). Then add to it, Tess has breast cancer. Oh my. This is a quick read (thank goodness as I cried buckets!)This story contained by favorite dual POVs. It really helps me to understand the characters. Especially in this story of loss and possible future loss. The characters seemed so real. The plot flowed so smoothly. It was like a movie played in my mind. I was sad to see the words, The End!!!! I highly recommend this story to anyone!!!

Two lonely hearts
Brush Creek Cowboy starts the Brush Creek Cowboy series for Liz Isaacson and introduces us to Landon and Megan who own the ranch and employs former rodeo cowboys. Walker is one of those that live and worked on the ranch with his son nine-year old son Michael. Walker wife had died six years ago and left both Michael and Walker in a bad emotional place. Tess had come to Oxbow with her two-year-old son after her husband died four years earlier. Walker and Tess were best friends that always ran the cotton candy stand at the festival each year. Easy with each other they could forget the deaths of their spouses and just be alive. But could this all change and become more? Could the two lost hearts heal each other and make a live together or will they hurt each other and have more pain? What happens when the two boys’ bond and are inseparable? Will the parent follow their lead? Will Brush Creek be the place for second chances?

A heartwarming story of a widow and a widower...
This is a relatively short heartwarming story about a widow Tess Wagner and a Widower, Walker Thompson who both lost their spouses and are left to raise their sons alone.. Even after knowing each other and working the cotton candy booth at their towns festival for several year there had not been any spark between them until this year, when they both felt an attraction toward each other and Walker got the courage to ask her on a date and she said yes... Would they keep seeing each other and would the attraction they felt for each other grow into something more or would fear cause a divide that wedge between them that cannot be repaired..

Unexpected turns in a story of faith and finding love
Walker Thompson is the foreman for a ranch in Utah. He lives there with his nine-year-old son Michael. Walker has been a widower for six years, since his beloved wife Libby died from cancer.Walker regularly does volunteer work with Tess Wagner, a widow whose husband died in a work accident. She moved to the area with her now seven-year-old son Graham after her husband’s death and her own fight with breast cancer.Walker and Tess like each other as friends, they enjoy working together as volunteers, and their boys are good friends. Both lost spouses they dearly loved. It would seem almost inevitable that they might develop a relationship, but that hasn’t happened. Until now.“Brush Creek Cowboy” by Liz Isaacson is the story of Walker and Tess, how they kindle a relationship, how it goes awry, and how it might come back together again. Walker carries a lot of baggage about the death of his first wife, and he is almost single-mindedly focused on raising his son.Isaacson is the author of numerous western romance stories, many set in Utah and published as series. These include the Three Rivers Ranch series, the Horseshoe Home Ranch series, the Grape Seed Falls series, the Brush Creek series, the Steeple Ridge series, and several others. She also publishes the Possession series under the pen name Elana Johnson.“Brush Creek Cowboy” is novella in length and serves as the introduction to the Brush Creek series. It could easily have been a longer story; events happen very quickly to keep the short form romance moving. And it doesn’t end the way the reader might have expected. It’s a happy ending story, but it gets there only after several unexpected turns.

An easy read book.
This was a love story with a modern twist. Not too many characters or sex scenes. I read this over two nights and really enjoyed it.
