this is a well made feeder it will last for years and it holds enough seeds to last several days it is the only feeder of 5 to survive the bear last week

This seems like a sturdy birdfeeder, and I haven't seen the squirrels trying to get on it yet. Some seed (not much) does fall through/out when you fill it, but that should be expected with the design.

I have had issues with several other bird feeders. Being destroyed or at least severely damaged by raccoons and squirrels. Being that this is made entirely out of metal. It has held up very well over the last two months. Larger pieces of nuts or suet have been left for the intended birds instead of being stolen by the squirrels. Birds of very a sizes, from sparrows to cardinals to woodpeckers seem to be able to perch easily anf comfortably. The local pair of raccoons have not been able to claw through this or figure out how to tip it over and dump food out.

The media could not be loaded.  We have a herd of squirrels in the area. It took them a couple of days to figure it out, but they are able to empty this bird feeder daily.Other than that, it’s a sturdy feeder. When the squirrels have had their fill and leave, we have a nice variety of small birds nibbling away. Larger birds have trouble getting the seeds.

We have purchased several bird feeders over the years. This bird feeder is made with metal. We have been using it and testing it and squirrels are not able to get it open. They are very persistent and keep coming back. They do get a few seeds but get chased off and can't open the feeder unlike the plastic feeders we used to use. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Wish I could show you a picture of a squirrel happily eating from the feeder. Also, the holes are too big and the seed just falls right through and onto the ground.

It is a sturdy, well built feeder. I was not pleased with the collapsing feature, so used cable straps to keep it in place. We purchased it to feed birds it because it indicated it was squirrel proof. As you can see from the pictures, that claim is without great merit. In the future we will be sure to hang the feeders farther apart!
