When i had hospice patients ages in the 80s & 90s, i noticed they were given vitamin D3 pills which were not easy to swallow. The doctors usually recommended these for home-bound/nursing-home bound seniors who couldn't get enough sunlight and itseemed to help with 'sun-downers syndrome' symptoms.I haven't tried this long enough yet to see what good effects it has for me.Although i do admit the morning i first tried it i didn't feel sleepy at work that day.As this liquid vitamin D3 is easier than swallowing a pill, i give it 4 stars.If it tasted better then i would give it 5 stars, i mix this in my coffee or juice as i didn't like the taste of it dropped directly into mouth.

This product arrived on time and wrapped tightly in bubble wrap. I think the person that wrapped the bottle did not consider the effect of bending the plastic top because it appears to be permanently bent or defective. I was able to reshape the cap a little (see picture attached.) I was able to dispense the liquid as designed, but I've only had this for a few hours. I will post an update to give my experiences since so many other reviewers posted issues with the dropper.I ordered this because I work overnight so I rarely see the light of day, and my blood test results showed that I was "severely" Vitamin D deficient. I stopped taking the Vitamin D supplement I had in the past because it seemed to keep me awake; even when taken when I first wake up to start my day. I'm trying this brand for the first time in hopes that it will not interrupt my sleep.It does not have a taste and feels a little oily in your mouth. It would be nice if the glass dropper contained markers since adults are directed to take the product one to five times a day. I would rather take it once a day; or at the most twice a day.

With summer ending and the amount of sun I normally get outside decreasing, I want to keep my vitamin D levels up. I also work out late in the evening, so I need to get restful sleep when I do go to bed, before waking early to go to work.Vitamin D3 is not something you want to take before going to bed, because it will keep you up and restless. However, taking it in the morning gives me a great restful night's sleep. This is important for anyone who keeps a busy schedule -- working, exercising, caring for young children, etc.A busy life demands good sleep if you want to perform at a high level. I take supplements like Vitamin D3 to be at my maximum each day. It helps my mood and that makes my days awesome and productive. So many people are Vitamin D deficient, so taking this one can really help you out, especially if your mood is bad or you feel depressed. It's well-known that absorbing Vitamin D through sunlight gives you a mood boost, but if you sit in an office all day or otherwise don't get much sunlight on your skin, you should definitely try this supplement out.Just make sure you don't go over the recommended amount, because more is not better in this case. If you get headaches, you're probably taking too much, so back off the dose a bit. But definitely try it, because you could benefit a lot from taking it if you are deficient. Thanks for reading!

Asinine bottling. It seems some fool decided an oil-based product should have a latex dropper bulb. Because the bulb is integral to the sealing of the cap, the base of the bulb is now completely eaten through and I haven't even had it very long. I now need to try to keep the bottle relatively airtight with a cutout corner of a sandwich bag and a rubber band and just hope the dropper tube doesn't fall off of the bulb.
