We found the screw on hose regulators, although great, restricted water too much. It helped prevent pressure from blowing hoses but the showers sucked with little flow. This CAMCO 40058 was obviously bigger and heavier but wow, what a difference in showers and washing dishes! Some people had complained about leaks and cracking cases, with the proper potable water sealant and not over doing the tightening, we have no leaks and works great. we added a 45 degree hose bib on one end and a 9" flexible spring hose on the other and easy to hook up or remove. Will buy again.

I have this pressure regulator mounted on the feed line for my steam cleaning machine, the ability to fine tune the pressure which is clearly indicated by the gauge is fantastic. This keeps low pressure lines from blowing as I routinely connects to different houses in different geographic areas which have vastly different water pressure, sometimes up to 150 psi. This part has saved me much hassle and headache.

Working great not leaking

Finally got a chance to use this as most of our camping is boondocking. Item worked as it should. My husband did make a slight adjustment to create a little more water pressure in our rig. We love that you have the option to do that when necessary with this particular regulator. Item did arrive a bit damaged as the reader that tells you your psi, was sitting wonky. Didn’t notice it until we finally got to use it. But it still did what it was designed to do.

The value is great. This is so important for an RV. It prevents you from blowing out all of your inside water lines. As I haven't had it long I can not rate it's durability just now. Revised!!!!!! I am sorry to say that this item started leaking from the black plastic top. I would like a refund, but I can't figure out how to get one. Help.

I heard from relatives that camp, to get a pressure regulator. I wondered if the internet sites were just affiliate deals trying to push products through fear. I bought this and left it in my tool bag. At my last trip my wife alerted me to water leaking on the floor of my trailer. I thought it was a leaking hot water heater. I found water leaking from my winterizing pump intake hose valve and the tiny filter on the water pump. I installed this regulator, which set the pressure to 40 psi. Leaks stopped. I was at a state park with a brand new Jayco. I could not tell what the incoming psi was but it must have been high. I am a believer in regulators now.

I live in my camper full-time. Managing your water pressure is very important to protect your rig. I am stationary and hooked up to city water. It’s very important to manage the water pressure so that I do not damage my rig or my piping. Everyone should go for a pressure gauge that shows you the actual pressure of your water. I love that I can control how much comes into my rig. I usually keep it at around 55 psi. Highly recommend!

Worked as it should for the first use. While using it on the second time it failed and filled the gauge with water. It also would not regulate the water pressure anymore. It was full pressure no mater what. Never adjusted it out of the box as it came set at 45psi which is what I needed.

This seems to be good quality and worth the investment to avoid burst lines. We used it for the first time this weekend. I suggest using a fifty cent roll of teflon plumber's tape when you attach it. When a fitting came loose in our RV's water heater due to bad maintenance from previous owners and doused my husband head-to-toe in water I was glad we had this regulator on the line. At least it was just 45 PSI of water hitting him in the face. Ha. (And yes, I'm sure this regulator didn't cause the failure.)
