threads stripped when I really torques down to get a snug fit.

Some of these will not tighten. Out of the 6 I purchased 2 didn't work properly. Not worth the hassle to return just buy from the local hardware store.

Well made, strong wheel drive and sturdy construction.
Solid construction, felt firm and the latching mechanism feels sturdy. I expect this will last longer than I need it too.

Works as designed
It's a clamp, not a rocket engine. It works as designed but doesn't deserve a rave review. Once positioned properly the installation goes fine if you can use a standard blade screwdriver.
