この靴は三足目になりますが、毎日履いて2年以上持ちます、買換え前頃にはソールの前のほうが少し軟らかくなります、サイズはレディースですが、私の足のサイズは通常24.5ｃｍを履いていまして、レディースサイズの24.5でぴったりです、2年後に又買います。

Previously i had several pairs of keen targhee hiking boots which i really liked but the way they were made there was a seam that always rubbed uncomfortably on my big toe, causing me pain if i wore them for long periods of time. I was worried these boots might do the same thing but they dont. they fit wonderfully - lots of room in the toe box (i did go 1/2 size up from what i was previously wearing) but even with the spacious toe box my feet do not move around in them and i dont get any uncomfortable rubbing or blisters. these do say they are waterproof, but unfortunately they are not gore-tex so im sure the waterproof layer will only stay waterproof for so long, but thats the case with any kind of boot made from leather or suede. i hope these are as rugged as the targhee hiking boots were as i live in colorado and lots of the hiking i do is over terrain with sharp rocks which tend to destroy shoes which are made of man-made materials. so far they are holding up good and they are very very comfortable. oh - my only other complaint is the shoe laces - not a big deal but they are round laces which i never like - they come untied easily and you have to be careful not to accidentally trip on them when this happens, so i replaced the laces with half-round laces which are much better and stay tied. wish merrell would switch the kind of laces because i dont see any advantage to round laces.

I have needed to replace my last pair of boots for a long time. I got them from Lands End and they were warm and comfy - i used them as winter boots because its not cold enough in Virginia for actual winter boots.I bought these because I know its a good brand, and the boring color I bought was on a pretty good sale. When they arrived - well, I didnt love them.These boots are really tight. I kept having to loosen the laces further on the foot. My feet arent particularly wide, but I have some painful issues and cant handle a lot of pressure. But by the time I loosened the boots enough to be not-painful, the laces were too short to reach the hook at the top of the boot. So the first few times I wore them, they laces didnt go all the way up, and I found the looseness unpleasant. So I bought some elastic laces - a little color to brighten up these drab things, plus hopefully i can slip the boots on and off, and yes, i can use ALL the spots all the way up the boots.I also found the insole uncomfortable. Ok, I removed the memory foam I'd bought from my old boots, and that was fine.So . . . I dont think these are particularly brilliant, but they'll work. I just needed some boots!

This hiking boot is what I’ve been looking for for the following reasons. The heel support is really good in that it has a stable impact support which also adds comfort. I have a high instep and again this boot works. Plenty of room in the toe area. I bought a half size larger for added space to wear thicker socks. They work even in colder weather. Overall a great hiking boot.
