One of the best-built toys we have seen - could not pull our kid away from it!
This "construction vehicle", or as our kid properly calls it - Road Roller, is one of the best-built toys I have ever seen. No seriously! When you think "a toy for a toddler", you don't think "all metal", solid, and well built. This thing looks like it could roll over every hot wheels car and make it into dust. The description claims 95% metal, and as soon as you pick it up, you will believe it. There is just such a nice heft and weight to it.If you are looking for a toy that your kid will never break, this is the one. What's even more impressive is the level of details. Apparently it's actually to scale (1:40th), but there are little things that are just very nice. Like the rubber wheels. Or the "bolts". The two sided ladder. Hinges. I can keep going. Just all around truly excellent. And if your child has spent 40+ hours watching Youtube videos of construction vehicles, they will greatly appreciate all of these details and call out each one. By the end of it, you will feel like you can take a test on "how to build a Road Roller".So, you buy it, you get it in the mail, and your kid loves it. But now what? The first question that you will get is: "what can I flatten"...umm...I don't know. Didn't even think about this. After trying paper, napkins, clothes, and other toys, what came to mind is playdough...yes, playdough. Mentioning this because this is what makes the toy complete. I actually wish they included a small chunk or a suggestion about this. It's incredible building "cones" or "circles" and flattening them. This started with a few here and a few there, and turned into a 3 hour thing. We literally could not pull our kid away from it.If you are looking for a great toy, this is the one. If your kid loves construction vehicles, you should be hitting order already.

Worth every penny....
The media could not be loaded. Few toys today match the rugged sturdiness of the old Tonka trucks--or, for that matter, any of the construction vehicle toys made of metal in the sixties and seventies. This toy does. It's an amazing throwback to when toys were generational heirlooms and pride went into their construction. Made of metal, with a heft that is kind of amazing, this is a road smoother of uncommon accuracy in its feel and operational imitation of the real verhicle.Just get it. It's a Rolls Royce of construction toys. I went back to check the price after playing with it and was amazed it wasn't twice the cost.

Good, but tracks fall off
This is a great metal toy with some plastic pieces. Not sure I received a new one as it was in the package upside down.It does turn all of the way around. Took a few turns for it to loosen up, but now it’s pretty smooth. I added some lubricant to the arm joints to make it a little easier to move. It wasn’t too bad out of the package, but could’ve been better. The tracks fall off constantly! They are just on a thin track and are extremely loose. This has caused some issues with my four year old and now he doesn’t play with it as much as he did at first. This will be going out to the sand come warmer weather.

Personal gift
I lost my father this past Thanksgiving, he operated excavation equipment for as long as I can remember. I got this to set with his picture and to one day pass on to my son to remember him by. It looks exactly like the one my dad first took me to see when I was young and the one he took my son to see a few years ago. I haven’t taken it out of the package but it looks like a perfect replica and very well made. The box is heavy and the packaging is nice. I love it and would highly recommend it

Very well made and realistic excavator
This die-cast excavator is heavy and very well made. It is sturdy and realistic. However, this is more of a scale model to be placed on a shelf and admired rather than played with in the dirt. Joints and pivot points are stiff and difficult to move and the rubber tracks come off easily. Most young children have little need for models. They need toys that can play with in the dirt.

Solid Metal Toy, Finally
This toy is rad, made better than the toys from forever ago, with high quality moving parts.I love the paint job, and the feeling of the metal as you move this around. The treads feel like rubber and are movable too which is outstanding.Overall, the presentation and delivery was so great, I had to embrace this.
