Aesthetic and functional, a “fun” knife
I was very excited to finally pull the trigger on the Assasin when it came back in stock (Red). There was something about the overall shape of it that I found appealing. Although in the photos it looked massive, it’s not. It’s a good size for EDC with a blade around 3”, and feels good and solid in the hand. The Good:Solid construction, no wobble or anything like that. Again this is a good size for EDC, and the pocket clip is nice and deep. Came pretty sharp out of the box.Bearings are nice and smooth, opens and closes nicely. One thing I really like about this but don’t quite understand - you can use the flipper to open the nice (without pressing the button) - yet the lock is very solid and very necessary to close. So this gives two options when opening. I know someone had said they don’t understand the point of the flipper on the button lock, but the video I added shows why.The “bad”:The handle has zero grip. It’s ok when it’s dry, but testing it with some water and it gets a little slick. Also, I feel like the regular asking price for this knife should come with a better blade steel. Everything else in the range and $30-$40 below either has the same or an upgraded steel, most at this price point have Nitro-V. Will this cut, and hold an edge? Yes.All in all I am happy with my purchase, although I can’t say this is the best knife in the price range, or even top 10….but it’s solid and I like the aesthetics - let’s face it, aesthetics sell knives almost as much as function, and Kizer is a brand that actively capitalizes on that fact.

Smaller than it looks
Be sure to look up the specs on this knife before you buy it. Blade is shorter than most. The action is great, and the blade is sharp right out of the box. Needed lube before action was smooth. A very good value.

Sharpness
Very nice knife with smooth action but came with a sawtooth grind. Cuts paper smoothly for a ways but then grabs and tears.

Heavy and clunky
The quality of the knife seems pretty good, but the weight and blade thickness makes this knife "clunky". Best word I can find. Not very ergonomic. Flip action is ok, and the bolt action is smooth, but the handle is hard and not very comfortable in the hand. For the money that this one costs, there are better ones out there. Keep looking.

Flipper won't work unless button lock depressed.
I really like this knife, but online videos show the knife opening with just the flipper - without having to press the button lock. I'm keeping this anyway. I'll just only use the button lock and (unfortunate) ignore the Flipper.
