A Reason to Die

Another action packed Perley Gates western that is an entertaining read.
As someone who has been a voracious reader for more than 7 decades, my interests have been ranged from A to Z, from the scientific to the esoteric, from the literature classics to well-written westerns. I just finished reading this action packed western (A reason to die: A Perley Gates western, the 2nd in a series by William W. Johnstone with J. A. Johnstone) and loved it.After Gates, found his grandfather, who then died and found his grandfather’s property, which included considerable amount of gold, he was headed back home to Texas and his family. Perley is the kind of man who is polite and soft spoken, but quick as a snake with a gun, if need be, and in this tail, he comes across enough trouble to keep busy trying to protect himself and his grandfather’s legacy of gold for his family.I never give away too much information when reviewing any novel, but if you like well-written action-packed westerns you may want to check out this book.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Shotokan Karate Self-Defense Techniques).

Gotta love Perley!!
I really like how Perley sees things that unfold before him. I love how people react after (not seeing) him draw! How they think that he is not up to the situation because of his gentle mind. And, bang! Pistol back in it's holster before the bad guys hit the ground!
