Daikin 1.5 Ton 5 Star Inverter Split AC (Copper, PM 2.5 Filter, MTKM50U, White)

Still early days with this AC but has been fantastic. It's the best AC in this category. Daikin ACs have simple functionality and focus on cooling. My room is 180 sqft and it cools within 7-8 mins during hot afternoons in Ahmedabad. Pretty silent at air speed 1-2. Night mode is totally silent. Simple remote with backlight. Installation was done the next day. The charges tho were quite hefty. Had to pay INR 7250 in total but all expenses were discussed in prior. The work was done swiftly.PS - I have one other Panasonic AC installed at my house, but Daikin performance is unmatched.

One of the best product out there in market. I got it installed in 48 hrs of delivery because of Sunday in between. The installation guys took Rs 3600 which included 10 meter condensate removal pipe, 10 meter power cable, outer unit stand and installation charges. Guys properly vacuumed the Ac and installed it. After 3 days of usage, I noticed that it’s very energy efficient and cooling is just superb. I will recommend this Ac to everyone. It’s too early to talk about post sale services offered but hoping for the good.

I have been using this AC for four months and most of the times the journey has been fraught with issues. I will list down the issues.1) Authorized service center guys installed it but did not seal the pipes properly and it resulted in refrigerant leakage. Ac started to flash fault code 3 and then they changed outdoor unit thermistor without checking the refrigerant level. Nonetheless the issue was rectified but it took them a month to do this in the peak summer season.2) A month further down the line, Indoor unit started making noise and it was hardly blowing any air. After two months and a handful of customer care requests, the unit was taken down and cleaned thoroughly twice, but in each instance the problem recurred. And since the line of air gets broken it directly impacts the cooling capabilities. It takes around 1 month for the coil to get completely clogged. They say it is dust which is clogging it. Now we are talking about a town where air quality is comparatively better. And there are other ACs operating in the House, they never got clogged. Why this one in particular? Sadly, there is no answer to that. Before this AC, a unit of Hitachi used to be there at the same place for last three years. Never encountered such an issue with that.3) They say each time this happens, indoor unit needs to be taken down and coils need to be cleaned after separating it from indoor unit and they will charge for that even in warranty. Last run down clean up was a month ago and I am facing the same problem again. Regretting the decision to purchase this model.4) Customer service is pathetic and Local ASMs are rude. Even after escalating the issues they won’t listen and will talk rubbish. They make statements like “Since your usage is high, this is happening” Well, I did not buy to stare at it 😊, “Go and escalate with whom so ever you want”. Really disappointing. It is the attitudes of ASMs which will frustrate you the most.5) At the time of writing this review, I am facing the same problem and there is no resolution in sight.Well, I am stuck with the product and don’t know what to do with it except regretting my decision to purchase it.

Great experience with Daikin Cooling is Great

AC is working well. Nice good quality product. Delivery experience was great.Installation experience was not good. Person asked to bring different things one by one - pvc pipe elbow, extension wire to power for vacuum of compressor, again elbow of pvc pipe as he connected first one wrongly, two feet 2.5mm wire to connect AC and last two AAA cell as it was not included. I was ready to.pay extra charge for all products but he didn't have any of the items.He didn't installed 2.5mm filter and said this is not of any use.I have to go 5 times to shop these things

After using 1 yearEverything is good except the fact thaat you can't make it run on a fixed compressor speed, in a few minutes after the AC cools the room for some time on 100% capacity it reduces the compressor speedIt is a no nonsense product and works as intendedIt has auto off where you can set a timer and the ac will turn off after the specified number of hoursHas 4 way swingAnd has been reliable for long working hours like in peak summer it runs 18 hours continuously everyday
