Maypole MP021 N-Type 7-Pin Trailer Board Plug 12V

This is a good quality trailer or caravan 12N socket. It simply unscrews, flips open, then you strip the wire ends with a wire stripper to screw into the terminals.Follow the numbering on the terminals and you can't go wrong. The diagram on the item page is the view from looking at the outside end of the socket. The diagram I've posted is the image as you look at the back of the socket with the terminals on (same view as if you looked at the socket on the back of your car).This took about 10 minutes to install, using wire strippers for a decent job. I find that stripping about 5mm off and folding back on the wire, then putting the wire fully in whilst pinning the screw to the wire side always gets the most secure grip, without cutting through the wire. Alternatively, you could solder a tip on the wires and screw to these, if you have the time and soldering skills.Definitely a reliable and well recommended plug.

Done the job lights ok now

It looks as though it'll do the job I want it to do after replacing the old plug on my trailer. Excellent value for money received promptly from the seller not much more I can add at present so can't say anything about durability as I've only used it once the day after receiving it
