Waterproof Case for iPhone 7, Shock Proof, Drop Proof by Catalyst for iPhone 7 with High Touch Sensitivity ID (White)

What I wrote BEFORE I dropped my phone while inside the case:I LOVE this case. I've had many iphones.. and therefore many cases over the years and this is by far my favorite one. Here were my biggest concerns when buying ANY iphone case:- Durability (I'm about to travel abroad for a year and need something that I'm not anxious or nervous about dropping, spilling on, etc.)- LOOK (yes, looks matter, I spent $800+ on an iphone and I want to actually SEE the iphone, I don't want a bulky 2 inch thick case thats going to make my phone look like a brick, what's the point in the looks of an iphone then?)- Price (I really didn't want to spend over $50, but when reading all the reviews and learning about all the features - I gave it a shot)- Warranty (I want a brand I can TRUST and one that sticks behind their product 100% - I don't have time for games :) )I've dropped it several times with no cracks and the customer support is phenomenal. That's what made me write this review = the outstanding customer support I received when the little rubber piece that covers the charging port fell off (it's a bit of a design flaw - but not a dealbreaker in my case as the phone is designed to go underwater and it CANNOT without this piece, but my intention was NEVER to put it underwater, I just want it to be protected in case I drop it in a puddle, spill wine on it, etc. so again, not a dealbreaker for me- but for those that want this phone to go underwater with them - I was SUPER careful with this phone and that tiny little piece and I still lost it). Anyways, I contacted customer support and they sent me an entire NEW phone case - even though all I needed was a $5 rubber cover. WOW.What I'm writing AFTER my second case + dropping my phone:I really still love the look of this case but the little plug at the bottom getting lost TWICE (I'm SO SO SO careful, but each time you charge your phone, you run the risk of it popping off or getting left behind somewhere and it's impossible to find once that happens) and having dropped my phone from just a few feet and having the screen crack has made me drop this review by 2 stars. Why pay $80?? (this should cost $40) for a design flaw (the tiny plug at the bottom not being attached and easy to lose) plus the case not even doing what it was primarily designed to do :( :( :(Hope this helps others and I have Catalyst Case designs a tougher case with a better plug option at the bottom. I really wanted to love this case.

The case looks very similar t0 the Lifeproof waterproof case that I have in white and gray. But the Lifeproof quality isn't there, unfortunately. But I like the colors a lot. And the clear back to show my phone. I am not sure on this case yet. This small piece just fell out of the packaging and apparently pops back into that space next to the charging port and cover. That isn't very assuring if it will not fall out again when you really need protection from the case (regardless if in warranty or not). I will return it and may reorder it to see if the next one has the same issue. Or, try the other brand (not Lifeproof) that looks similar to this case.

I know the primary reason for purchasing this case should be for the waterproof features, but I haven’t really had a chance to test that feature. Bought it for my wife's iPhone 8 and she likes it. She’s usually into the cases with pretty colors or looks stylish etc. and she says she’s ok with the looks of this one. Likes how it shows the rose gold color through the back and likes for the grey/white case compliments the white bezels on the phone.The fingerprint ID sensor is easy to use through the case! The screen responsiveness is really good. There have been VERY FEW instances in scrolling she says where response was delayed. She’s also dropped it a couple of times already on flat surfaces and everything’s been A-okay.I wouldn’t recommend it falling on a gravelled surface however as I don’t feel confident the clear screen cover can take a direct impact to the screen well. On that note, I also regret the case can’t support a pre-existing tempered glass screen protector. Would have been a ton more at ease on a gravelled surface if that were the case, but I think the front would not be able to close properly to achieve a proper water seal or give access to the fingerprint scanner if there was one.[UPDATE 2021] - This phone seems to have survived everything saving the essential oils she let the phone "stew" in while in her purse ROFL. It kind of destroyed the rubber bumper and warped some of the plastic. But it HAS SURVIVED! She has not gone swimming with it though. Only minor rain and splash exposure.

Going on my 3rd phone because of toilets and pickle jars (long story) my darling husband decided with my new phone 😖 he would do some research and buy a wife/life proof case. This case is not only functional but really cute. I love it. It’s SO worth the money. Super easy to charge, put phone on silent, shut it off and type. You really do get what you pay for. I am exstreamly impressed with this case.best case I’ve ever had/seen and hubby is happy he won’t have to buy me another phone🥴. In my defense the pickle jar was our son, just saying.

This will keep your phone safe sure, but it will also interfere with your ability to make calls such that you might as well not try. Been trying to fix my phone, stopped short of replacing my phone when the techs realized the issue was the case. Of course now I’m stuck with a 100$ case that works like shit because they only let you return it within 30 days and don’t address fundamental issues that make the case sucky. Not much of a warranty for a supposedly awesome case made by those who supposedly stand behind their product. If you read your reviews Catalyst, reach out. I’m open to y’all along this right.

This is a very well designed case, made with high quality materials, which provide great water and drop/shock protection. Sealed cases usually muffle the sounds in and out of the phone. Of the several competitive cases we tried, this definitely has the best sound quality - no noticeable loss of speakers or microphone volumes. My wife just wishes they would offer it in a few more cheerful colors. Her coral gold phone case shows through fine with the clear case in the back, but the front has pretty much a boring industrial look.

It generally leaks – despite hearing it 'snap' shut and getting the seal just right. Though to be honest, I think if it's so difficult for the seal to be 'just right' then the design of it is lacking. Don't waste your money - or damage your phone! Get a case you KNOW is going to keep it waterproof. If only Optrix was still making cases..

I bought before the Hitcase and it did last one year ONLY .The Catalyst Case fits way better and precise to my iPhone7, home button and touch screen are working smooth and without any delay or problems. It feels very grippy ! Hearing and micro during calls are awesome, no complain. Function of the power button, volume and silent Knob are working amazingly great. I'm very pleased with this case so far. I will see how it handles the daily use .One more unexpected feature of this white case is - its very easy to locate my phone in low light condition or in a bag.Its more money than the Hitcase, BUT first fit and function of all buttons are way better. Touch screen use is super good. Rating 1 to 10 - I would give a 10 for the first impression. durability over time , I can not say anything. For this amount of money and my use( mtb, road bike commuting all year around, SUP paddling all year around on the west coast - I would expect two years of use in a safe mode with caution ! And with this case I'm optimistic :-) I would love to have the opportunity to review this case after 6, 12 and 24 month.

Longtemps fidèle au concurrent LifeProof, je dois dire que je ne suis pas déçu d’être passer à une coque Catalyst.La qualité globale est meilleure, l’esthétique, même si tous les goûts sont dans la nature, est très réussie.L’écran est de bien meilleure qualité que celui des LifeProof. La qualité audio (micro et hauts parleurs) est très bonne, et je n’ai noté aucune gêne pendant les appels. La reconnaissance digitale fonctionne parfaitement. Point positif également concernant le bouton sonnerie/vibreur, qui est très ingénieux et paraît solide, contrairement à ceux des LifeProof Fre dont la durée de vie ne dépassait rarement une année ...Le système d’accès au lightning est très agréable mais semble un peu fragile. Il est toutefois remplaçable très simplement, même si je ne l’ai pas trouvé en pièce détachée.Globalement, très bonne surprise pour cette coque étanche à 10 mètres !

ich habe diese Hülle zweimal bekommen. Die Erste war verkratzt und scheinbar schon benutzt, diese habe ich zurückgeschickt. Brauchte aber eine für meinen Urlaub und habe Ersatz angefordert. Die neue Hülle kam einen Tag später und hatte keine Mängel aufzuweisen. Bin gänzlich zufrieden und weiss nicht wieso diese Hülle so schlechte Bewertungen hat. Hat mir im Wasser, am Strand und beim Herunterfallen treue Dienste geleistet und mein iPhone super geschützt. Nur unter Wasser konnte ich keine Fotos mache. Sobald das Wasser an den Screen kam, hat das Handy sofort auf Bilder geschaltet und somit konnte ich keine Bilder unter Wasser machen. Vorderseite ist jetzt nach 3 Wochen nicht verkratzt aber auf der Rückseite sieht man Kratzer, was ja aber nur optisch ist. Knöpfe sind mit ein wenig Druck zu bedienen und das geniale Rädchen funzt auch. Ich würde diese Hülle jederzeit wieder kaufen!

The case was not waterproof. I followed instructions exactly including removing all screen protectors and submersing for 30 minutes.. I also submersed the case with the phone in it for 30 minutes in shallow water. When it got into the ocean, it leaked within minutes and the phone was useless.
