Fresh out of the box, I began sneezing. I noticed a couple of dark spots on the zippered cover and a muggy smell. My initial thoughts were that the material was thin and some of the filling was showing through. As far as the smell...well...it's been sitting in some warehouse. I figured that the smell would go away after a day or two. I began to remove the cover to attempt to wash it when I noticed buds...cotton buds...plenty of cotton buds. Ok, this may explain the smell or just the material of the covering itself. My only thought was that I was NOT about to have this MESS all over my floor to wash this cover. THEN have to fight to put the cover back on with this seemingly unprocessed cotton. The material of the cover is pretty thick so the spots were not from the filling showing through. I'm not sure as to WHAT the dark spots are, but I covered it to test its comfort. The mattress is comfortable and more comfortable if you fold it like a taco or double the mattress (I had to experiment lol)! Unfortunately, my household deals with Allergies and this mattress cannot stay. The mattress has been unboxed for about a week and it still smells. As much as I want to really dig through this cotton to at least touch the memory foam...it's not worth the mess. I also placed this mattress on an iron frame and that's a "No". The mattress is better on the floor. This mattress is a "YES" for those who can tolerate what I cannot.

This futon is very well made and comfortable. The color we got (burgundy) looks really classy. What really sets Futon Factory apart is great customer service. I accidentally ordered the wrong size mattress, and did not notice it until after the 30-day return window on Amazon. I emailed the company directly and received a prompt response. They worked out an exchange for the correct size, a refund from Amazon, and a return of the incorrect mattress with no shipping charges. They were prompt in response and did everything necessary to correct my error. I really appreciate their excellent customer service!

You certainly get your bang for your buck with this mattress. My futon is one of those nicer wooden futons, and this mattress fit perfectly on it. It's the same color as my old one, but the futon is a little bit less thick. I notice that this mattress is lighter than my old one, and as a result it sometimes slides a little off the futon while I have it folded down in the "bed" state. But the lightweight aspect also makes it way easier to fold my futon up into the couch mode, which I'm really happy about. It's also an easy mattress to clean/vacuum.I would recommend this mattress to anyone that needs a replacement for their futon. :3

The Futon Factory provides the best customer service I've seen in a very long time! They are willing to go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy! The 10" memory foam mattress I purchased for my futon is super comfortable. I really appreciate all they have done to make sure I am happy with my purchase! I am thrilled!

Product is comfortable thick and exactly the size requested.Packaging could be more environmentally friendly but given the size of the mattress a little plastic for a smaller box could be the best they could do.I had a small issue with the mattress, it ended up getting delivered to the wrong place (thanks fed ex) I contacted the seller and within 24 hours they were ready to send a replacement for no additional cost. Luckily the person who received my package delivered it to me and I didn't have to go looking but still very professional of the seller to offer to send out a replacement so quickly (it would have been shipped Monday and today is Sunday)Overall 2 people in my family now have this mattress and are all very happy with the product. Highly recommend.

We bought this mattress to replace our porch swing cushions. The mattress is super soft and a little larger than the full size frame. Heavy enough I don't think the wind will take it. Bought a mattress cover for protection. Overall, I am happy with this mattress.

Could not be happier. You have an old futon in storage and you want to put in in your cabin, but that old girlfriend smell just won't come off the old mattress, you're in luck.This color is great, perfect for my single wide rustic trailer, goes great with my 100 inch tv, i mean cell phone charger powered projector.
