Great resource for anyone working with Kids and adolescents.
Dr. Pratt's new book, the "Advanced CBT Toolbox for depressed, anxious and traumatized youth" is an incredibly helpful and practical resource for any therapist working with children and adolescents. I found it easy to read and very engaging for my young patients. I especially love Dr. Pratt's ability to translate the complicated journey of recovery and wellness into clear steps and actionable skills. The chapters take you through self-regulation and learning to manage difficult feelings, learning to find your optimism and reframing situations, through personal growth and identifying strengths to building supportive, positive relationships. There is also a great chapter for parents. I give this new book my highest rating and recommend it to therapists, professionals working with students, as well as parents.Peter Mills Ph.D., M.S.Professor of PsychiatryThe Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

Reassuring Sound Exercises
I am not a child psychologist. Even so, as I read the exercises in the book, and as they reminded me of the exercises my psychologist taught me during my recovery, I realised that they are exercises along the same vein. For example, meditation and breathing exercises which I found useful. I found the answers to learning how to regulate emotions which I had been looking for.
