USA Queen Original Talalay Latex Mattress Pad Toppers: US Made 2", 3", Many Densities (3" Thick, 14 ILD Soft)

I had 9 inches of latex in various layers on a spring pillow top mattress that I flipped over. I had purchased a beauty rest pillow top mattress and it began sagging within a month, it was very costly and their warranty was laughable, I thought I was out 1500 USD until I did some research and discovered latex. My initial purchase was 2 inches of 100% organic Dunlop latex with no covering. I flipped my mattress and added this first layer. I slept like I was a child again, it was a dream. After buying a real 7 inch complete Dunlop latex mattress for a spare room I decided to add it to my own bed under the 2inch topper and I ascended to a higher circle of heaven. Unfortunately the 2inch 100% organic Dunlop topper was prone to flaking as I will explain later. I bought this new Talalay to add more even more comfort to my bed due to pain from carpal tunnel syndrome and being a side sleeper that needs a VERY SOFT bed. I am definitely the type that cannot tolerate any hard mattresses, I even travel with a sleeping pad to 5 star hotels, no mattress is ever soft enough for me, after a day or so I wake up with all sorts of pain in my hips and shoulders. Latex has made sleeping a pleasure again and my bed has no rival. With this purchase I added 3 inches to my 9 inches of latex and my bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept/lay on PERIOD. I love latex to sleep on and this latex is very neat and well constructed as well as being soft as sinking into brioche or angel food cake. Not all latex is equal, this piece is exactly the right measurements and does not flake as other latex pieces without a covering have done. That said I recommend just wrapping a pure cotton fitted sheet over this piece and then your standard cotton sheet and you are ready for the best sleep of your life. You will never have night sweats again. This is the best top layer ever. Some latex is prone to flaking and disintegration possibly due to being 100% naturally made organic Dunlop latex and you will need an expensive protector, if your mattress protector has plastic you will be negating the cooling effect of the latex since the heat will be trapped, so you must buy the pure cotton cover from the company that made the latex to encase it. which will cost you at least another 100 USD, so it is not a better deal. My old 2 inch top layer of latex needed a protector, a sheet was not adequate due to the flaking of the latex. I used a standard protector with the pure cotton quilting on top and a thin layer of plastic built in and I was sweating all night which was not the case without the plastic in the protector. I put this old layer under this new Talalay one, so no more sweating from the protector. Due to the excellent construction of this latex there is zero flaking or disintegration with just a sheet so no need to purchase a protector. This is a very sturdy piece of latex. Layering latex is the best way to construct or upgrade a bed, it’s sleeps cool, doesn’t sag and you can always add or subtract layers to get a custom feel, plus it is a lot cheaper to switch an old layer out for a new one than to replace an entire bed. Latex is a no brainer for me and this is a good quality piece, very good buy. I think the 100% organic Dunlop latex is great for the other layers, but this Talalay is definitely the way to go for your top layer. If you are suffering from a sagging spring mattress with a pillow top you can simply flip it over and add this, that is how I started on my latex journey and I just added more layers as the years went by, this was the last layer and is the best top layer I have ever had. I highly recommend It. Constructing your own mattress as I have done is definitely the way to go, and if you are on a failing pillow top don’t fret, buy this, flip that old mattress over and you will have a bed you won’t want to get out of. If you are suffering night sweats from menopause, or you simply sleep hot, latex is a godsend, just remember not to encase it in any plastic because as I said it will negate the cooling effect and in winter you can sleep on a blanket type protector to keep warm because latex will not hold any heat. Do not waste your money on a purple or other inferior overpriced products, if you already have a spring mattress, even a sagging pillow top, all you need is a latex topper, just flip that failing mattress over and add this, I guarantee you won’t regret it and you will never buy another overpriced bed again. You can always add more layers to customize, but this is without doubt the soft top layer of your dreams. I also recommend purchasing some Talalay pillows, because no matter how comfortable your mattress might be if you don’t have the right pillows you will still suffer if you are anything like me. The softness of a 3 inch is great. It does get a bit hot.My concern is I just got this a few days ago and the latex looks like it is falling apart.. is something eating it?It was on the other side too. I will take a photo of that area its much larger and right in the center of the topper. The edges also have some chipping away.... again it looks like eating away..I bought a cotton cover ( organic) to cover it and the sizes were off I think this size is larger than a queen.I tried to find the company to contact them about this and can not find it on Amazon. This is not good. I spent a great deal of money on this item.The Topper is covered to protect it but I am having doubts about the long term wear of this item.I need the companies name to research why this happened... It was wrapped with plastic and rolled tight.I have slept in it for two days.. Not feeling to good. My skin has been itching ... hope I do not have an allergy to this latex. And the latex looks like it is falling apart?

I own a couple of talalay toppers, but the last time I bought my old brand, I thought the quality had gone down and I decided to try something else. Bought these (a softer and a firmer one), and so far, so good. The latex looks really nice, very clean, nice rounded corners, even foam texture -- looks well made. And the smell has been very slight. I bought these because I am making my own mattress, so I also bought a few other types of foam and even a Dunlop latex, and these two Latex Sleep/Ultimate Sleep talalay latex have been by far the least smelly. Very little off-gassing. I could probably have put these on the bed within a day or two of unpacking. Most foam I have to wait at least a week before I can sleep on it.So I am very happy with these so far, and the price was pretty good.OK, so now it is 2021 and I have been using this latex for 3 years. It has held up well, and my bed is still very comfortable. So yes, it stands the test of time.

My TempurPedic mattress was too soft and was causing me a lot of discomfort to the point where I started sleeping on the couch. After doing some research and reading comments about this product I've decided to make the investment. Compared to new mattresses, this seemed like a smart investment. I'm so glad that I've made this choice. This mattress topper made a huge difference in the comfort level of my sleep. The first time in a long time I didn't want to get out of bed because it felt so good.

I purchased the 14 ILD Soft Talalay Topper as the comfort (top) layer of a custom built mattress. Quit reading reviews and floating between possibilities. If you are looking for a soft comfort layer of high quality Talalay Latex: this is the one. The latex had minimal natural defects, minimal off-gasing/smell, sleeps very cool, was cut without extra gaps (it is the full size of the mattress), and feels like sleeping on a cloud. The only downside of this product is the motion transfer, which is a problem with all latex layers. Of course, having a bit a bounce is also a benefit in terms of bedroom activities. If you've decided to use latex as a topper or comfort layer on a custom mattress: close the other tabs and grab this one. You won't be disappointed.

The quality is perfection and my new latex mattress is nirvana. When purchasing latex, expect a few imperfections. Also, I highly recommend a quality cover to protect your topper. Along with the encasing for the latex layers (3), I ordered an quality puffy mattress pad ~ pricey, but well worth the investment. I know have a latex mattress that would easily sell for $3,000 for a fraction of the price. I can't recommend 'Ultimate Sleep' enough! Great product, quick shipping and prompt communication.
