Oman off-Road Paperback – 6 April 2016

If you are going to explore oman this is a must. Reason I bought this is I borrowed one from a colleague and after 6 months had to return it and there are still so many things to be done- so I had to buy my own. I have done a lot of the wadi walks and also jabal shams and jabal aktdhar and have not been disappointed with any of the trips.

Super Offroadführer, der uns auf so manches Abenteuer begleitet hat. Die Wegbeschreibungen sind trotz fehlender Straßenschilder (im Oman die Regel) hinreichend genau. Zur Not fährt man eben zurück - was bleibt einem auch anderes übrig. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind schwerpunktmäßig im Nordoman angesiedelt, wobei jedoch auch die Region um Salalah wie auch im Sohar/Musandam etwas zu finden ist. Bestandteil der Routen sind jeweils eine ausführliche Beschreibung mit nachfolgend Kartenmaterial. Im Anhang ist noch ein Kapitel über Offroad-Fahren sowie über Flora und Fauna enthalten. Fazit: Definitv sein Geld wert.

Used on two road and trekking trips to Oman. A great book, especially when used with 'Oman trekking' book published by the same company.

C'est un livre qu'il faut absolument avoir avant d'aller dans les Wadi. Le format n'est pas très pratique, mais au moins, au retour, il est encore impeccable malgré de multiples lectures dans le 4x4
