Good fit for MK3
Requires you to replace original hardware with supplied ball ends. Quick install and fit well on my 86.5 MK3 soup.

the ball ends are plastic
update: I decided to install them. I like that the ball ends were not preinstalled. This made screwing them into the fender and hood much easier and less cumbersome. For mk3 supra owners - you need to install the piston cylinder aka thicker end "up" or closer to the hood or it will not clear the metal ledge that juts off the fender. When the skinner or shaft end is down at the fender side, it will have just enough room to clear when the hood shuts. The only thing about the performance is when you are shutting the hood, it seems to not be as smooth about the 1/4 point at the start of pulling the hood down. it doesn't grind....just feels like a "stutter". Otherwise, still much better than using a stick. Definietly not high quality like the OE Tokico struts but good in a pinch until you can locate the OEM ones.original:I am debating putting this on since I need this for much needed engine work . The ball ends that takes a lot of stress on a heavy-ish hood is plastic?? Between the harsh heat and cold, plastic usually does not take too well to a long time of that. The good thing is that the metal ball/bolts just gets pushed into the socket so theoretically it should be easier to install vs the ones already fixed onto the assembly. So the question is put it on or return it? I think I may keep it as a temporary solution until I can find the correct replacements. At least I can warn you guys/gals about the quality though.
