Meguiar's Professional M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, 16oz

I'm not one to review many items but Hi Tech 26 deserves it. This wax was recommended on a high end auto site for dark vehicles. It was explained to me that green waxes are for light colored vehicles. I just thought wax was wax. Well not so. The wax went on easy enough but as mentioned in another review depending on the amount used, it doesn't come off that easy. This is not a big deal. It's just worth pointing out. So I used a Meguiars micro fiber cloth to remove the wax, rubbing in straight lines in the direction of the body panels (a detailer's secret) as rubbing in circles is a no-no. Having polished the car in my garage per the directions, I thought 'hey this looks pretty good.' I figured for the money it wasn't a bad deal. It wasn't until the next day after I came out an office I was visiting and I saw the car in the sunlight that I got the full effect. It was unbelievable. This was the first time I waxed my new black CR-Z and the car looked better than when I bought it. The finish was so reflective and pure that I could have shaved in the reflection. It made the metal flake in the paint pop and sparkle. It even took out the swirl marks the dealership put on it while prepping it during the sale. Seriously, this wax is no joke. With the exception of some $90 detailing wax, it cannot be beat. I highly recommend this wax along with the entire line of Meguiars products. I used the car wash, drying towels, etc to incredible effect. If you have a dark car and you want a finish worthy of envy, this is the wax to use. If I were to have any issue with this wax, it would be the amount required. In my estimation, you can only get two uses per bottle which isn't terrible. If I had known how great this wax is, I would have purchased a few bottles to save on shipping because I already need to order more. If you have a dark colored car, order this wax! You will not regret it.

I trust Meguiar's products. I am 70 years old and still wash and wax my car. There are many ceramic waxes out there. I have used Mother's. It works well but I find myself working hard to buff it out. This product goes on easily, buffs out clean and looks great

This is what my Motorcoach detailed uses and it works great .. I get waxed twice a year instead of a ceramic coating for 45ft Motorcoach..

This yellow wax is amazing. I've used it on a few trucks I've restored over the years. I do a buff & polish, and then a nice even coat of Meguiars, and makes the paint look & feel like glass. Follow directions, and it's an easy application with amazing results. Good luck & motor on!

It is holding up very well

Easy to apply, produces an excellent result. I apply with a sponge, let it dry, then use a microfiber cloth to wipe off then use another clean microfiber cloth to buff.

Don't expect a super shiny wet look like your car was finished with baby oil that's not what carnauba does. Carnauba gives you a rich, deep warm shine like you're looking into a can of paint, think classic show cars. It works best on dark colors. McGuires gold class carnauba spray does the same thing.. I do have the other waxes (sealants) like sonex netshield, Ethos and Griots that give you that "wetlook" This is not one of them..I also left a review for "Ethos " with pics of my Blue 24 Cadillac with 3 coats, I still use and love MG carnauba spray in between waxes

Why are you looking?? BUY this.. Stop looking at the competitors $90 wax and wonder how much better their wax is.. Trust me.. it isn't. This wax goes on very well and comes off well and leaves a nice gloss to your paint, that said: Any weekend detailer and obviously any professional will tell you NO and I mean NO amount of wax or sealant will make our car "Shine" like glass if you have a lot of paint defects.. If you don't have a polisher to get the BEST results from you car wash by removing the imperfections and swirls do this. 1. Wash your car with a Microfiber mitt or towel and a quality car soap 2. Clay the car with a clay bar kit ( search youtube) 3. Dry car with microfiber towel Hint: with a NEW and clean microfiber towel soak the towel with water and wring it out then use it to dry your car, trust me it works extremely well for drying than any other process outside of a leaf blower. 4. add sealant or wax or both and enjoy........If you also buy the Meg's sealant and you don't know... Sealant goes first than wax.

I have a show car and after using the Meguiar's Hi Tec Yellow wax the results were just amazing and I have included a Photo of the finished product - very easy to apply and remove , I was amazed with the finished results , this product will now be the only wax I will use from now on - thank you for great product

There is nothing to dislike about this product. use it sparingly and it is easy to wipe off. You can do the whole car in one hour and the wax produces a brilliant shine with minimal effort. It goes a long way too because you don't need a lot on your applicator.Try it, you will like the results.

Have been using it for the past 2 yrs and it works like charm on the paint, it does not contribute much to the feel but gives a definite amount of depth and lustre to the paint. Would recommend it to every detailing guy or even an amateur..!
