Comes in a small box, vacuum packed well and is packed in 2 plastic bags. The last bag is hard to see because is packed so well. But once you cut into that one it will start to expand. Took a total about 1 hour to get to full size. We did not smell anything strange like others are talking about. Fell great and the child this went to just loves it.

My Shi Tzu 16 year old dog loves it. I am not sure it is suitable for a child. Maybe it would replace a large pillow for a toddler. My 24 pound Petit Bassett Griffon Vendean likes it too, but doesn't fit his body all that well:)

It arrived in wrapped in a plastic bag inside a box. It clearly looked used. There were directions on how to put the cushions in. But it was already put together. It smells as well. Gross

It has pockets on the side for her sip cup or toys etc it’s very sturdy, I would buy this again. She loves it.
