These are HEAVY, you cannot see them very good from the pics but they have a longer screw on pin that passes through the screw point and you can actually put a locking pin just in case, you can even put one of those luggage wire padlocks to lock them and avoid stealing. The box has a handle so you can let them there for storage on the move, overall they are very sturdy.

Solid product as usual from Rhino Inc. product was exactly as advertised. The packaging and delivery was above and beyond. I have several products from Rhino and so far have zero complaints. Thank you Rhino.

First let me say that I've only used these one time in a real world recovery. That being said, its how they were used that I feel puts them in the spotlight. I went out to recover an F250 Tremor Diesel that was no kidding buried to the frame nose down in sticky mud. I drive a 21 Power Wagon. I tried initially to just pull him out backwards with my kinetic rope but it was a no go. I couldn't get enough traction to yank hard enough. So instead I ended up winching him out. However, I needed to use a snatch block to accomplish it in order to have enough pulling power. So I used one of these HD shackles to connect the snatch block to a strap coming from the rear of his truck, while I used the other shackle to attach myself to another rig behind me for an anchor. The pull was pretty hard and that mud did not wanna let go of that very heavy truck but we ultimately got him out. That was definitely not anywhere near the max rated weight for these shackles but it was still a damn impressive feat. And to look at the shackles youd never know they were ever used. They still look and function perfectly. Sometimes the shackle bolts will bend slightly with heavier use but not these. They are straight as an arrow and they still screw in and out smooth as new. The shackles feel high-quality and solid. There are no signs of enamel coming off as I saw in other reviews. The only downside is that a standard winch hook will not fit onto them with the isolator in place. Will definitely purchase more Rhino products.

This is certainly a heavy duty D ring. I bought 2 sets for the front and rear bumpers of my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK. The first set are a perfect fit because the hole drilled through the pin for the R clip is in direct alignment with the thumb piece when tightened. It looks clean. On the second set, the hole drilled through one of the pins is not in direct alignment with the thumb piece. So upon tightening it, the R clip and the thumb piece are offset and doesn't look clean. The hole alignment through the pin might be a QA/QC issue for Rhino to address. Upon contacting them about this issue online, they were quick to send me a replacement pin. Kudos to Rhino for great customer service.

I bought these mainly to improve the look of my older jeep and give the impression my rig is an off road Jeep. They do that with that said they appear to be able to handle and situation should it arise.

Not a whole lot to review. It's a shackle. Nothing complicated. I will say they are built very strong, and powdercoated very well. The pins thread on easily. I'm giving just three stars for three reasons: 1) the rubber anti-chafing doesn't slip on, and isn't adhered to the shackle in any way. It only wraps three-fourths the way around the shackle body, making it very easy to slip off. Might as well not even be there. 2) I bought mine in red, to match the color of my Jeep. These weren't really red, but more of a red-orange. Maybe the other colors are more true. 3) the shackle pins have a hole drilled in the threaded end for installing a cotter pin or hitch pin, however they were not included. Would've been nice if they were.

I like that they are powder coated and should last a long time. They shipped fast just sucked with import fees.
