Great Product!
I installed a portable pet door that surprisingly enough arrived without any rubber tape. Rather than complain about it, I bought this product to help seal minor gaps between the edge of the pet door and the vertical frame for the sliding glass door. It worked quite well and provided a nice seal. To reinforce this seal and to hide the rubber tape, I ran a strip of wood grained adhesive tape over this product and the vertical frame.

Quality of foam is good, adhesive is not.
As others said, if it is being sandwiched, it will work. If you need adhesive, look elsewhere.

Yes, add your own adhesive, but worth it
This product is fantastic, an actual weatherstrip not the half weight flimsy stuff you get from other brands. Yes, you will likely need to add your own adhesive, but very worth it.

Does not adhere
This tape does not stick at all. I used it to seal a gap around my garage door, and it fell off after a few days. I was careful to clean the surface first and make sure that it was dry, but to no avail.
