Does this pedal adjust the sustain with different pressure or is it a simple press to turn on/off?

I have an alesis samplepad4. would this pedal work as an additional trigger input? it has that option but i don't know which pedal to buy

The Sample Pad 4 is designed to receive a message from either a trigger or single/dual zone pads. If you're looking to purchase a pad to externally trigger your Sample Pad 4, we'd be happy to assist. Does this kick pedal work with an Alessis sample pad pro

Not familiar with the sample pad pro. The pedal is a standard non latching type of switch, it will engage as long as it's depressed. Standard jack connection, if that's what your after then I'd say it will be fine. It's swell made reliable bit of kit.
