Richardson Sheffield 5-Piece Sabatier Trompette Block with Scissors, Silver

Pretty happy with these knives as they hit the sweet spot of quality and performance with a very decent and fair price. The block is fine and won't be out of place in a nice kitchen. Some blocks can seem cheap and nasty but this one is fine. The knives themselves all do the job. My favourite is the mid size with serrated edge. Ideal for veg and such. The chefs knife is perhaps a tad large for ease of use within a standard amateur kitchen, but is good and sharp, as are all the knives. The smallest knife is very handy for fiddly jobs like slicing garlic as it's comfortable and precise to use. The scissors are sharp and usable but arguably not quite the quality of the knives ... but they're a useful addition and probably more use to many than another mid sized knife. The bread knife is fine but I'd say not big enough to cut a standard loaf. I already have a good, large bread knife and this one just doesn't compare. I'll likely use it as another standard kitchen knife. Recommended for the amateur chef, but not really suited long term for professional use.

Affordable, quality full-tang knives that also come with a superB scissor that can have It's blades disconnected from eachother within a split second for extremely easy cleaning while having the grip of it be the most comfortable ambidextrious stuff I've ever held.Blade edges of the knives are the deceiving kind of "flat" sharpness that you won't be able to feel by running your fingers across them but can still cut soft tomatoes with ease without needing sharpening.Only thing to note is that these knives all want to "point downwards" due to the weight and shape of the hilts. While excellent for beginners, more experienced chefs may want to look for knives that are more center-balanced.

Excellent product. Doesn't take up much space on the worktop and the scissors with bottle opener etc are a bonus. Sensibly, the scissors can be taken apart for easy sharpening when necessary. I bought this as an extra birthday present for my husband who has always bought good quality knives and he is thrilled with them. Delivery was very fast and product was well packed.

Good, compact knife block and heavy enough not to topple over. Sufficient number of useful size knives and pair of scissors. All the knives are sharp and seem to wash well. Very pleased with purchase.

I bought these knives about a month ago, and although the product description states they're dishwasher safe, I saw a few rust spots forming on them. I stopped putting them in the dishwasher, and still, they're just looking rustier and rustier every day. Very disappointing!
