This product was simple and amazing. It was exactly what I needed for a "Behemoth" 52 inch big back GE TV that I've had for almost 15 years. It had been sitting in a corner for the last 3 years since upgrading to a 70 inch flat screen Vizio for my family room. I also have 106 inch screen and projector in the basement media room. So because the GE still worked perfectly and I wasn't ready to part with it, I decided to put it in my master bedroom. I'll admit, it is massive because of the body but it still works fine. I upgraded my Directv service as well with the mini Genie so in order for me to use the TV properly, I had to order this special wire and let me tell you, it gives off a beautiful picture as if I had bought the TV yesterday....I love it. My tv cable box had a 10 point connection and my Sonos amp had RC input connections. This adapter allowed me to get my tv sound on my wired speakers through the amp.

Nice quality, but NO review out there prepared me for the problem that I found. If you hook up your cable properly and there is "no signal", then try switching the RCA cables one at a time to find which one is the video cable (regardless of color!). Once you find the video cable from the Directv box in this three-set of cables, then the other two are obviously the audio left and right cables... Wow, almost gave up, when tried this and voila, everything now works... Even looks good with HD tuning on the directv... not supposed to, but it does! Thought perhaps it was the TV connectors, but I did this for two different TVs and the problem was definitely in this cable/adapter... Easily corrected, but not easy to guess the issue.

This cable should come with the wireless Geni. Instead they ship the Geni with only an HDMI cable. I don't know why! So if you want to move your Geni to another room that has an older TV you need this cable. It works fine, so order one if you need to use your Geni with an old TV. Order it now and set it aside even if you don't need it today because you may need it someday and you won't want to wait for the mail.

I have a DirecTV C61W wireless genie mini hooked to my av system by HDMI cable. I wanted a second analog stereo audio output to a separate receiver that powers my deck and bedroom speakers. There is a digital audio RCA jack on the back of the C61W, but it doesn't appear to do anything, and DirecTV tech support couldn't explain what it is there for. They weren't sure if the 10-pin output would work either and advised that I just try it. So I bought this cable and indeed it works. Not much invested and just what I wanted to accomplish. Don't waste time trying to use the digital audio jack. Just buy this cable and plug and play.

We have the Direct TV genie satellite box in the kitchen hooked up to an older smaller TV that has no audio output. Sound from this TV, like so many flat screens, is dreadful and we wanted to find small speakers or a sound bar to connect to it. Most sound bars are twice the width of this little TV, so they were out of the question. And the genie has a hard wire (not optical) digital audio output - try finding something to plug that into! It also has this 10-pin connection, which no manual or tech support mentions or seem to understand, but I recognized from other equipment as a component output. After connecting this cable to the box, I ran the video cable (yellow connector) to the TV and the two audio channels to some small powered speakers, set the TV to Component Input and everything works as desired!Cable seems well made and sturdy, no problems or bad connection issues.

On one of our DirecTV genie minis the HDMI to HDMI hookup was not always working properly. This cable fits in the A/V slot on the genie and the component cables go in the provided slots on the television. When installed, the tv once again worked properly. Saved a repair visit.

The yellow was supposed to be for video however after not getting the audio to work connecting my Telus 4K Optic TV box to my Denon AVR 3805 Stereo unit for 5.1 sound, I disconnected the Red lead and substituted the Yellow lead. All was fine after that. So if there is an audio issue try the various combinations of the 3 leads going into your RCA inputs on the Amp. The winner here was White/Yellow.

The cable box had only "1" HDMI output & the 10 pin, so this cable worked perfectly to hook up my DVD recorder. well worth it.

Got a new cable box from TELUS but it was missing the composite video and audio outpot jacks that ran to the Radio Shack ch 4 rf modulator that fed the kitchen tv via coax. This mini din converter worked perfectly.
