I was skeptical that a cheaper option would work as well, but this cream has been just as effective for us. It goes on smoothly, provides a good protective barrier, and stays in place between diaper changes. Since switching, we’ve been able to keep my daughter’s skin healthy and have avoided any new diaper rashes. I also appreciate that the ingredient list is simple and straightforward. Vet recommended to be used on a white nosed horse. This was the most economical way to get it at a good price. Serves the purpose.

This product can clear up rashes fairly quickly. It helps protect the skin and add moisture.

I buy this because I bristle at the cost of ZnO microparticulate sunblock. This ointment, if it's from a lot that's ground fine, forms a sealed invisible layer over skin that blocks sun in FL. It actually works better for me than products sold as sunblock, and the tub lasts two years for me with no sunburn. Also, it doesn't cause tearing in my eyes (I put it on my face and elsewhere and rub in well). The Zinc may also help to deter some skin pathogens, and the anti-drying petrolatum base is very goopy but effective against dry skin for me. one star off because price is going up and particle size seems to be bigger (more visible).
