Q: would this work for cats with runny tummy?

Hi yes, research shows pumpkin is a good source of fibre and is excellent in helping cats and dogs with upset stomachs. Add a little to their food, either dry or make a paste, probably about 2 teaspoons full depending on size of your kitty. It can work in as little as 24 hrs. I used it for my 2 dogs who had severe diarrhoea following a change in recipe to their usual food and it worked really well within 2 days. Hope this helps.
