One fat mouse successfully caught
The media could not be loaded. Little bugger has been an uninvited house guest of mine for a while now, evading my smaller traps and mocking my every attempt to relocate him back to the wild. Decided to invest in some larger traps and this is the one that got him. He wasnt best pleased, but hes back in his natural habitat and not chewing holes in my stuff. Trap definitly works, and he was unharmed

Checked then, but didn't use.
Seemed fine quality wise, but I think quite pricy for what they are.

Best size/ more humane
These are exceptionally good. The mouse goes in every time! These bigger ones are much better as the mouse can turn around and better for you just to tip upside down to make sure the mouse stays at one end while you flip it back open, then tip it back the other way and the mouse dives out without any contact. He’s quite happy!

Beyond abysmal usage instructions, both visually and textually. See below for help!
Throw away the usage instructions! There are 4 pictures, each of which apparently illustrates ‘Step 1’The major aberration is the picture and text instruction – and sticker on the bait compartment itself which shows (impossibly) and tells – nonsensically, how to remove the bait compartmentJust ignore it. The way to open the bait compartment, as I accidently discovered after 30 minutes of struggle with both traps, squeezing, pulling, trying to insert the edge of a screwdriver, and levering it, is this.Put the base of your palm against the bottom of the bait drawer compartment (the one with the small label on it) Push in, towards that front opening end, whilst at the same time pushing UP, with the heel of your handAs to how well and kindly this does indeed trap the little rodent creature you want to rescue, I can’t yet say. I don’t, I hope, currently have mice or rats. But I do have two cats, which in theory should mean no mouse or rat would voluntarily enter. The problem is that my most efficient young hunter brings live creatures proudly in, to drop in front of me. Sometimes these are already dispatched, but sometimes, like a sensible little creature, they play very dead, but then scamper extremely fast, sometimes finding a hidey hole. The poor creature can evade capture for some time, suffering no doubt. I am hoping that a primed trap like this will enable quicker and less anxious rescue, rather than days of waiting and watching by my hunter. And then transported to a safe release placeIn theory I like the very well provided air holes in this, which should mean (I hope) that a trap put down at night might be able to rescue a little live mousie who can go and find a little mouse café in the morning, having lived to tell his tale (hopefully with an unharmed tail)

Didn't work
Lid kept popping up plus mouse wouldn't go neer them. Rubber gloves where used to open them out of the box(so there was no scent) but mouse just avoided them. Never worked for me.

Works well!
The media could not be loaded. Easy to set up. Just push the back panel in and up and the same time then spread peanut butter across the panel. Caught this little friend second night out. Very pleased with the product.

Works, but not humane as a mouse got its jaw trapped in the air holes
Easy to use, and caught our mouse, but horrifically the mouse got its upper jaw (including teeth) trapped in one of the breathing holes, and we could not remove it. The mouse was clearly in a lot of distress, and it took a lot of foreceful pushing to set it free. Would not recommend
