Fabulous retelling
Not gonna lie, I was nervous about checking out this one, I've only read one fae book before and it wasn't for me. This book, however, totally is! This was an awesome dive into Oz and I'm looking forward to book two!

Read it all in one sitting
The moment I started reading this book I didn't once put it down, being a Sunday, I had a basic free day at work and have spent my entire shift reading this, until I finished it.I loved it, an amazing spin on the classic Wizard of Oz.I adore Tin, even in the beginning. Can't wait to read the other two books!

A Darker OZ
I had no idea there were other characters involved in Oz besides those in the Judy Garland movie. With that in mind, I really enjoyed this version of a more adult, darker Oz.I like how Dorothy wasn't too naive when she came back to Oz. She still saw the best in her past friends, but when she noticed they were different, she was quick to act on her newfound knowledge. She was a really strong female lead and her kindness and stubbornness went really well with how serious Tin was.Tin was really just to die for. I loved the fact that despite not having a heart he was still treating her as a friend (even if it was to get her to go with him) instead of only treating her as a job for the whole journey. The chemistry between them was just really good and whew were those scenes between them steamy. Made me wish I hadn't been finishing the book at a family function.I can't wait to see what's in store for Reva and Crow. I'm going to have to add Crow higher up on my to-buy list.

The story I never knew I needed!
Wow! I first heard of this book from a cool TikTok video posted by the author. Right away I was intrigued! 10 years after Dorothy returns home, the Oz she once knew has fallen into ruin and despair. The Tin Man or Tin, is now a ruthless assassin, paid to bring Dorothy to Lion's lover so she can wear her head.I loved every single moment of this book! The plot flowed well and jumped right into the action. The characters were well developed and the savage imagery of the villains and the violent regions of Oz were incredible!I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!

Fantasy romance done right
I pre-ordered this book solely for the cover (a guy that looks like a cross between the Witcher and Legolas? Yes please!), and am happy to say that the story was very entertaining and well written. I haven't read the prequel I see spoken of in other reviews, but will be checking it out. This story features several of my favorite romance tropes (enemies to lovers, deceitful friendships, single beds etc), so it squarely ticked many boxes for me, plus it was based on a fantasy lore I enjoyed as a kid. I highly recommend Tin, and will be looking forward to more!
