It looks great, works great and really quiet. I was able to use it in church without disturbing anyone. Got compliments on how good it looked and the quietness. Kept me cool on the airplanes too.

Bought these for my mom to take to Disney World in Florida and they were excellent. During the heat, she was able to break them out and stay cool. They were also able to keep a charge for the day and easily be stored in her bag.

This works as I expected based on reviews here and from The Wirecutter, where it’s the top pick. I found the middle of the 3 speed settings the most comfortable without being too loud.Pros: it provides good cooling for my neck and face and helps all of me feel cool. The middle setting in particular is a good compromise between cooling and not being too loud. It lasts most of the day at thst setting before needing to recharge. Since I often work with a fan in me and my large screen tablet blocks thst fan from reaching my face and neck, this is a good addition to my arsenal of cooling products and it allows me to keep working, not needing me to hold it as my handheld misting fan does.Cons: it’s fairly heavy and would,be annoying around my neck if I were being active, rubbing my neck if I am doing more vigorous housework. I’d still use it but it would irritate. The highest speed is fairly noisy and it can be heard in a call or onscreen meeting. It also dries my eyes out, something I hadn’t considered when I bought it and as I wear contacts this is irritating. It also takes a long time to recharge, hours longer than I expected. I was expecting to take about 2 hours or less and it took about 7 hours.I’d buy it again with those caveats given that I don’t have air conditioning but it does have drawbacks.

Very happy with this purchase. It's quiet and the 3 power settings make it very nice. It's rechargeable via USB and the fact that it does not need to be plugged in to work is wonderful. I can do my house chores, go for a jog, walk my dog all while being completely comfortable! Highly recommended!

It's a great idea and it does cool a bit, I think it would work well somewhere that is already loud or if you like white noise. I used it during a heat wave when I was outside during 108 deg F weather and it wasn't worth wearing it I decided. The noise bothered me a little bit too.

The fan is lightweight, not noisy on the lowest setting and there is a right and wrong way to place it around your neck. The fan wasn't marked with either an L or an R or and up or a down that I could tell but I figured it out from the pictures.Inside, where it's already cool, this is perfect so I can see hair stylists, pet groomers, front desk workers, etc using this fan for a little extra relief from personal tropical moments.However, if you work outside like construction workers, dog walkers, landscapers, etc it will not do much if it's hot & humid.I used it to walk the pup around the block yesterday afternoon when it was hot AF (quick potty walk for the pup and we stuck to the grass areas) it didn't really work. I couldn't feel the fans on the sides working like they had indoors and ones around the neck slightly cooled at the highest setting which means you cannot speak to anyone that you may be walking with or come across.For the price, it's not bad but definitely don't expect to be cooled if this is to be used on a hot, outside, day. I was hoping it would be good to use outdoors but I do have places that I can use this indoors where I need a bit more comfort cooling.

I kind of bought this on a whim after a discussion about portable "cooling" technology. I can't say I feel any cooler, though I do notice a bit less sticky sweat on my neck and forehead while using it during a more intense activity. The included instructions were pretty much useless as they described a completely different model, something about a red light (mines got green and only green) and opening and closing vents, which mine doesn't have.It's a bit heavier and louder than expected, but it appears solidly built. I do have the occasional problem with it trying to snag any little loose hairs, but so far no damage to myself or the device. Battery life is a bit shorter than I'd like, might get 2-3 hours at low.All in all, cooling would be any exaggeration, it's more like a neck and head dehumidifier. Still, quite a useful thing in a humid coastal city.
